Personal trivia:While roadying for a friend's band in the summer of '05 in the SF Bay Area they played a house show. One of the guys who lived there and later became a good friend I still keep in touch with greeted us with the phrase "Who wants Hawkwind?" Immediately my friends, who had been here before, enthusiastically replied in the affirmative. I was befuddled; while the good ole 'Wind are a killer pysch metal band I didn't know why they'd elicit such a loyal response!

As it turns out..."Hawkwind" was their code for smoking pot. Good times.

Old song popped on, Land Down Under... not new, not particularly great, but the phrase "..where women glow, and men thunder.." kinda took me back.

Sounds good to me, that beautiful glow is worth a bit of thundering, eh?
