So, as some may remember I asked for advice concerning picking a new phone recently which I actually already received two days ago. It's comparably low-end (HTC Desire 620) but it's still a helluvalot more powerful than my previous phone and just opened up a lot of options for me gaming-wise. I tried looking for some articles about the best mobile games out there but even on lists by comparably "hardcore" gaming portals there's lots of F2P garbage. So I'm wondering what the favourite mobile games of some GOGers are. Personally I'm preferably looking for mobile exclusives but I guess some multi-platform games which play very well on mobile are also okay. But I'm open for any good suggestions.

My first win so far is Hitman GO which I specifically bought a Humble Bundle for a couple of weeks ago (but didn't even try playing on my previous phone). Sadly even the HB version seems to support hints via in-app purchases or something but otherwise it's a nice and solid puzzle game that I enjoy a lot. It's - as far as I can tell - quite original and doesn't even offend me as a Hitman fan.

Anyway, what are your mobile favourites?
Mobile favorites at work are Porno...

Yeah... last time I checked people still used the term "handheld" to distinguish consoles from phones and tablets.
Well, you can get King of Dragon Pass on mobile, and that is a great game also here on GOG. Same with Lords of Midnight.
Barely have enough time these days to play regular PC games, but I'd have to go with Techno Kitten Adventure.
No. This is wrong. Mobile gaming is new, not old and ugly, not good... I hate the damn thing/device itself, as well as games on it (mobile). Also, the device, its radiation and constantly being in touch/near human, can result into lots of damage over time. Yeah, long exposure to computers is said to do damage too, but mobiles are the worst. The less you are near them the better for you!

Indeed. I haven't played either game much yet (although I do own them on GOG) but I guess they may be great picks for mobile. Thanks for the suggestions.

Wow... that looks... disturbing. I may check it out.

"Hoplite" and "Sorcery", on android.
Vector Pinball, Green Mahjong, Progress Quest, Open Tyrian, and a little thing called Retroarch.

F4LL0UT: Indeed. I haven't
Just be careful as they seem to favor the Apple version more, I haven't played in years.
The Room I guess, I can't think of anything else. O_o
I really enjoyed 80 Days, a choose your own adventure version of Around the World in 80 Days. It's developed by the same people behind the Sorcery! series, which I also liked.

The Kingdom Rush games are pretty good tower defense games, and though they have IAP for heroes, etc, they are not at all required to progress.
Hex-a-hop (OpenSource, available for a lot of platforms)

Well I can tell you what Android stuff there is on a short list.

All on Google Play(oh and check the Trade thread, I trade Google Play credit for GOG games if any ones interested PM is best, in case I forgot to check the trade thread.

I should also point out to any android device user, that if you own a PS3 controller. You can use it without having to pay for a program in all emulators and many games Such As GTA games(and the onscreen controls auto turn off when you use the controller). The trick is to turn on blue tooth first, then plug in the controller via USB. Then if the controller isn't detected, press the on button for the controller and the device should detect it. Now you can unplug the controller and use it without those greedy SOB's charging for that other "controller" app =P

* means you may need a Tegra 4 device, all others are pretty much on everything else

*Mount & Blade
*Half-Life 2
*X-com(that modern remake...although I hate it even on PC...meh)
*Assassin's Creed: Pirates/Black Flag? I cannot remember the title at the moment but its on android as well

-The Walking Dead season 1 & 2 (friggin amazing!)
-Terraria(some people like this title)
-Botanicula
-GTA 3
-GTA San Andreas
-GTA China Town Wars
-Galaxy on Fire 2 (this is like Gemini Starpoint 2 on GOG, and also like FreeLancer...no...seriously! 0_0)
-Shadow Run (the modern ones)
-Organ Trail ( zombie spoof of the old Oregon Trail game from years ago.)
-Angry Birds / Bad Piggies (always a crowd pleaser)
-FreeCiv(Civilization part one ported to android and free!)
-ARMA: Tactics( I think that is the title, been awhile since I played it. Basically like a non anime style ARMA, with game play similar to a non-tiled Final Fantasy Tactics or similar title)
-Delver (like Ultima Underworld?....well sorry this isn't it lol, but it feels similar but without a story)
-9th Dawn (looks like sh!t, but is surprisingly reminiscent of Ultima 1-5 games...but on tablet)
-more titles, but I can't think of everything on my device off hand. Feel free to ask me for more and I'll go turn it on XD

Then we have the emulators for every system out there. These all depend on how powerful the device is. Most auto allow a controller to be mapped with as little as plugging it in via usb(non ps3) or how I mention the setup for a ps3 controller. Emu's usually go for about $6 those are the ones you should look to use as they tend to actually work. Where as the freebies...well anyone interested can PM with the request for such emu knowledge.
I can tell you though that if you want DOS games, you can have everything that you can get working UP to Command & Conquer games. Stuff like Daggerfall however will only work on a Tegra 4 or equal device. MMmmmmm DOS games on tablet....gooooooooood XD
(like fallout...anyone play that game? hehehe)

Edit-

-The Banner Saga
-Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 (yeah those are on android too, go figure) / technically SW:Knights of old Republic, but glitched

PS- Anyone can PM for trades of GP credit for GOG gift codes(well if you are USA resident, as the codes only work in USA) ^_^
