Vythonaut: It is sad to see how the coming of the 3D age destroyed the sweet graphics of Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2.. Anyway, very good promo!!!
agree, and the worse part is, this has been done to a lot of classic games (monkey island is one of those)
and brokensword has one or two 3d versions, gabriel knight has a 3d remake.
Sad thing is that all the old classic cartoony style gets lost totally after they 3d it, after that its just a 3d object that has the face of a wizard, but the charm of the good old graphics and the atmosphere the game(s) had are totally lost.

The promo itself is very good 79 cents a game if all games are bought is a very generous offer.
My collection has grown a lot , in the beginning i could buy almost anything cause i started with only the free games, since i dont play 3d games, i already have most if not all classic non 3d games.

Its a good thing we have new games like guild of dungeoneering, anna's quest, and techno babylon(which i bought the minute i saw those)

Now i am hoping for some old game to arrive aswell: touche adventures of the 5th musketeer (dos), bermuda syndrome (16bit game), elkmoon murder (16 bit win95 game).
i have the original cd's with manuals in good condition so thats why these are on my top wishlist of old games.
The old difficult riddle of master lu is also on the list.

i recognise that situation myself all too well ....
i havent got that much stuff yet 400+ games only but i experience the same thing, the last 15 years that is :D
But things come and go and we just have to adapt and accept i guess :D

I wonder if Adventure Soft has tried contacting Cassandra Peterson for re-licensing the two Elvira games? She's still active with the Elvira character. If classic Star Trek games can be re-licensed, then this shouldn't really be too difficult to arrange.

Total cost of all items - 10.97

Average cost per item - 1.57 (rounded up)
That's assuming you don't own any of those games, from my side it is 5.99 per item as I only want 4, and its pretty poor, so would only get it on cheap just for completionist sake.

Understandable. Feels like you and I are both in for a wait, though.
Regardless of 4's quality, I want it to complete the series. Might say to hell with it and pay retail at some point. The larger amount of money spent will amplify the pain nicely.
So many adventure games on sale lately. I have nearly twenty adventure games on GOG already (that's including the few freebies however), and none of these games are on my wishlist. Are there any 'must haves' here? I have the most interest in Personal Nightmare and Waxworks, although it seems like the best deal is to buy all or nothing. Recommendations?

All, I think. Btw The Feeble Files is also a pretty nice game.
I knew I put off buying Feeble Files and Personal Nightmare for a reason (I didn't). $0.83 each... Not bad, not bad at all.
Ok, bought the titles which interested me (waxworks, personal nightmares) but due to the discount algorithm, my game library is now tainted by Simon 3D, damn you GOG! :(((

The first 2 Simon games are true classics.
Congratulations GOG, a promo where I have none of the games! Picked up a gift key for the full set, might redeem some down the line myself. Hard to pass up since all six games together cost less than one at normal price. :)

You buy the full pack as a gift, then redeem the ones you want. No library tainting.

Too late, evil is done :(
Will we ever get Simon 5?

I'll just wait until you finish throwing your rotten vegetables at me.

I know, I know, it's a bad game, but if the alleged worst of the series is already here, might as well complete the collection.

Besides, I already have all of these.
None were really high up on my (virtual) wish list, but for $.83 a game I couldn't resist. And with that, I now stand at exactly 800 games.
