Up to 80% off Deadly Premonition, Hotline Miami, Jazzpunk, and more!

Video games can be so weird sometimes, you know? Talking animals are standing at every corner, inventories defy space limitations, and gravity has little authority in there. Thus, it takes a special brand of surrealism to astound players, yet some games manage to pull it off in spectacular, mind-boggling fashion. Sure, you can proclaim The Voices Made Me Play It! if you want, but we both know that you thoroughly enjoyed it. And how couldn't you, when these Weekly Staff Pick include some of the most brilliantly offbeat games out there, with intoxicating discounts sprinkled on top.

Are you sure you wish to call Hotline Miami? There is unapologetic brutality, ruthless top-down combat, and satisfying bloodshed waiting for you on the other end. Exactly what you were looking for, you say? Well then, get in there and spread some mayhem. We'll just lock the door from the outside, if that's alright.

Do you also sometimes have a Deadly Premonition that you'll get hacked in half by a raincoat-wearing psycho when you go around asking questions about a beautiful girl's death? Or is detective York just imagining things? There's definitely something odd going on in this cult action/adventure but you must get your brain to squint if you are to piece the mystery together.

Take the blue pill and it will be just another day in the office. Take the red pill and everybody will think of you as a Jazzpunk: secret agent man, champion of bizarre mini-games, and appreciator of psychedelic art - a model employee. As long as you don't skip on that prescription your boss gave you.

Follow our Weekly Staff Pick down the rabbit hole and feel free to admit The Voices Made Me Play It. Some of those enigmatic whispers belong to Psychonauts, Dropsy, Dyad, or Revolver360 Re:Actor and will lead you to extraordinary places. Definitely a lot better than spending a wild night with a giant fish by the sewers, anyway. The promo will last until February 19, 10:59 AM GMT.
darn I already have both Hotline Miami's thanks to a strange thing GOG did way back when.

On another note: didn't the Lovely Planet dev shit talk GOG, calling it inferior and they have no plan on supporting it. Why put that shit on sale?

source: someone here who got it directly from the dev... lol.
Nothing for me in this promo. Money saved again. :D
Hmm nothing for me in this selection, at least not for these prices.
I wouldn't mind Hotline Miami 2, but the price is still too high.
However, maybe it's better this way, since I bought some games on the weekend's Adventure Promo.
Heard the second Hotline Miami is considered bad compared to the first one, is that true ?
Will get it after watching a gameplay video (if I like it of course).

Was waiting for Jazzpunk, but I´ll wait for a higher discount.

Who said that? Yeah, it's about as infuriating as Super Mario Bros. 2 (Lost Levels) because it keeps up the curve from the first game, and kinda betrays some of the original game's concepts, but I wouldn't consider it bad sequel by any means.

Nothing for me this time but I'll pick sth from weekend promo for sure...
Already have all the ones I want.

I got Hotline Miami as a free Steam code, and again as a PlayStation Plus member, and it's one of the few games in my Steam library that I have no desire to repurchase here.

Nope, not those games, they just went into the "hidden" section and I forgot about them.

It's different, but still very good. If you like the first one, you'll like the second one too.

My problem was more with the fact that you get shot from offscreen a lot more in the second game. The OST is still amazing though.

I wouldn't say that. :P

At the current discount, anyone who doesn't already own Deadly Premonition should definitely give it a shot. It starts off kinda mediocre, and the gameplay and controls tend to be clunky, but just stick with it and prepare to have your mind blown as the story progresses. Too bad that D4 isn't included in the promo as well.
Playing Jazzpunk now..(well not at work, but when I am home)... love the style of it. Looks to be fairly short but that is probably ok.
Nothing for me either...
Bought Psychonauts for 3 systems now, including GOG... so no need for me here :)

But I can recommend this weird and wonderful game to anyone who likes an atmospheric and disturbed setting with lots and lots of secrets, quotes from pop culture and easter eggs.

I am not that much of a platformer fan, but I played this one through - several times.

Looking forward to the sequel. Unfortunately Double Fine ran a campaign on the fig.co pages to raise money for the game - a platform I will not support, because there are already to many Kickstarter and IndieGogo clones out there.

But it got funded anyway, so let`s see if they can repeat the success Psychonauts was (on PS2). After DF-9 I am not that sure anymore...
