A good sale offers something for everybody, and this week we deliver as always!

Though the moon landing anniversary festivities are mostly over by now, there is no reason to not stay in space a bit longer. And after this more realistic view on space, let's be a bit more creative this time: A whole lot of Master of Orion (all with -55%) is on sale this week. This includes the classic series as well as the new rendition.

After returning from space, let's take a trip back in time and visit the Cossacks series (up to -75%). Or if that's not your idea of a proper time travel, how about the Stronghold Crusader series (up to -90%)? You're saying that's still too realistic? Then we have to go underground to fight the War for the Overworld (up to -75%).

To finish off this nice trip, let's throw in some variety games for every taste: You can never go wrong with Dying Light games (up to -66%), Call of Juarez (-75%), Total Annihilation (-55%), Nex Machina (-60%) or Massive Assault (-55%).

All of this and even more is waiting in our Weekly Sale that runs until August 5, 1PM UTC.

EDIT: Corrected.

Still no Complete version for Stronghold Crusader 2?
Will the rest of the Call of Juarez games be added anytime soon?
Crime Cities taken and awaiting RWarehall's analysis for the rest of offers.
You advertise Dying Light… where is it?

You're from Germany...no "Dying Light" for you...

In all seriousness - if you really want it, you'll have to buy it on Steam or on a site that sells Steamkeys.

If you like the music in Crime Cities and have an extra buck to spare, the OST is on Bandcamp and you'll be supporting the original musician (I believe): https://pawelblaszczak.bandcamp.com/album/crime-cities-original-game-soundtrack

(that said the music is probably also amongst the game files)

Or get a gift copy. Once it's in your library it will stay visible.

For what reason? Did the {,former} publishers/devs only agree to sell it on GOG.com if no German gets access to it?

Thanks to both of you!
I know few people abroad who'd open a GOG account for this reason but I'll ask anyways.
I'm tempted to do so but I'd rather stay away from having a Steam account. Just out of curiosity: would I get DRM free Subnautica if I'd buy it there and register it here?

I managed twice to use an anonymous proxy to buy two "not-for-Germans" games - Singularity and Time Shift IIRC. But it took ages and was frustrating because some games are denied for peoples in other countries as well, respectively hosts didn't reply in time…

Can please somebody name the price of Dying Light?
Hope someday Call of Juarez Bound of Blood and Gunslinger comes to GOG.

Its at 17,26 $. Give or take; in the past I had it that the price suddenly changes by a buck or two. Might be a browser or a currency setting thing.

Steht aufn Index. German office for censorship ;)

Its not allowed to be advertised in germany because think of the children. They took the technically easy route be just not offering it. Probably breaking EU law by doing so since they are not allowed to refuse you as an adult access if they sell it; they are just not allowed to advertise it :P

Might be wrong; ask a lawyer if you wanna know more (a real one; not a forumite "I know for realz believe me!" one)

As far as I'm aware (and I'm no lawyer, so take that with a grain of salt) GOG doesn't sell games like Dying Light, Doom II, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein to Germans, mainly because of two reasons:

- they don't have an age checking system in their shop.
- they don't want to (or can't?) sell Germany-only versions of their games (cutted content, swastikas removed, etc).

As you may, or may not, know - the Doom games got taken off the German "index" in 2011 - but only the altered German versions...not the uncut international versions, that GOG sells here.
That's the reason, we Germans can't officially buy these games here.

Selling these games to (underage) Germans would be illegal under German law.

Quote: "Spiele welche in die Liste der jugendgefährdenden Schriften eingetragen sind, dürfen ab sofort nicht mehr öffentlich beworben und an Personen unter 18 Jahren verkauft werden."

(Games which are registered on the "harmful-to-minors"-list, shall not be publicly advertised and sold to people under the age of 18)

Now, again - IANAL, but seemingly, other stores don't have the same standards when it comes to selling these games to Germans, as can be seen at the attached pic.

Dying Light, for example, I bought that on GG (that was before GOG got it) and could activate it on my German Steam account without any problem.

Return to CW I bought here on GOG (via VPN) - also no problems...

So again - either buy the Steamversion, or (if you don't want a DRM'ed product) buy here via VPN.

Either way works fine.

Edit: oops, sorry - forgot to attach the pic :)

Damn...file too big...well then per different approach:
