C'mon, give them some sugar.

Here's another round of gems that deserve to be noticed. And they shall!

Poke around a dying man's memories as you're Finding Paradise or tear through hordes of demons in Slain: Back from Hell. Indulge in old-school dungeon crawling with Tales of Maj'Eyal and Caves of Qud or care for your wounded feathered friend in A Bird Story.

The Weekend Sale ends December 3rd, 11 PM UTC.

Nice sale (although a little... small...? Maybe something huge comes next week? ;) )
Any thoughts on Slain: Back from Hell? Got my eye on it for a while now. Is it a super-ultra-hard old-school platformer hack 'n slash or am I wrong?

iirc it's one of those trial-and-error affairs. It has an achievement for dying 100 times.
low rated
Whoa! I saw the title and freaked out! I thought my genitals were on sale!

Slain is super hardcore and much harder than most of the platformers on the NES IMO. And it uses an awful checkpoint system, with checkpoints spread out way too far apart.

And on that note, off the wishlist it goes. I'm getting too old for Ghost & Goblins 2.5.

Don't freak out man, they're just compressed! Just open the .zip and extract the contents. ;)

Thanks for the info, you just convinced me not to buy it! Appreciate it, really.

GOG.com: gems that deserve to be noticed
The Coma is no gem. It's a mediocre 2D rip-off of White Day.

Detention is a gem. The original White Day is a gem. Hell, even the remake of White Day is a great game. Unfortunately, none of these are on gog.

Tales of Maj'eyal is one of my favorite games of all time. The code for it was first started 9 years ago and the creator, DarkGod, still is adding updates and expansions. If Rogue like games are your thing check it out!
