Maxvorstadt: Yes, all three. I wish, George Lucas would make a sequel, but I guess that will never happen, George seems to think that three movies are enuff.

toxicTom: Well, he got old. Someone could do the Thrawn trilogy. I'd nominate Joss Whedon. He's good with female protagonists and Mara Jade seems right up his alley.

tfishell: Jedi Academy is great, I recommend it.

toxicTom: Outcast is better...
I played a little back when a friend let me borrow the CD, but I never got past the first(?) boss. I had a lot more fun with Jedi Academy so I can recommend it.
No. I am your father.

toxicTom: Outcast is better...
Not really. Jedi Academy is better.
"No Luke, I am your father."

blotunga: Many of them were already 75% off in the past, why just 65 now? :(
avatar
eiii: I think discounts above 70% in the past only were bundle discounts.
I could live with that.

Loger13: Have all.
Need more.

P.S. I also recommend Jedi Outcast (better story and SP overall) and Jedi Academy (better MP) - best "Jedi simulators" ever.

BigBobsBeepers: You forgot Dark Forces 2 and it's pretty damn good cutscenes and game play.
I have not forgotten. DF2 (+MotS) has a great story and great live cutscenes, but in terms of gameplay, Jedi Outcast is definitely better.
DF2 had excellent gameplay at the time of its release, but at the time of the release of JO, the gameplay in JO was sooo better and gameplay of DF2 is outdated.
And since the advice is obviously focused on those who have not played the series before, the value of DF2 is only in the plot and videos. In terms of "Jedi simulator" the JK cannot offer anything in excess of JK2 (I repeat, this does not apply to history, it concerns "simulation" part).
Look, the discount aren't as high as it were in the past. ;)
However, nice sale, anyway. Thanks GOG & Disney.
Oh, almost forgot... there are new instructions for patching Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight for modern standards.

BeatriceElysia: Real question is, why's Luke spelled Look?
If you think that's strange, have a look at the store's frontpage set to German.

There they replaced "Luke" with "nun"...which is German for "now".

At least with "Look" instead of "Luke", I can see the pun...bad as it is...but "nun/now"? That doesn't make any sense.

Lodium: I own all the Games in this List already except
Star Wars™: Rebel Assault 1 + 2 wich im a bit on the fence about.
Anyone that have played it before , that can tell a bit more about it?
Hi there, I own both Rebel Assault I and II (the original CDs) and I had played them extensively back in the days (early 90s) on my 486DX2 with 8MB (that's megabytes!) of RAM. Rebel Assault I was the reason I upgraded from my single-speed CD-ROM (connected to my Creative Labs Sound Blaster PRO) to the Nec Multispin 3X drive.

You see, these are "rail shooters". Which means that the game is basically displaying a FMV (Full Motion Video) movie loop and you have limited (joystick) control over where exactly your X-Wing flies. On top (and in sync) with the FMV, the game displays "assets" such as laser turrets to be avoided, star destroyer shields to be destroyed etc. The FMV loops over and over again until you complete the mission, or are killed.

The problem was this exact "loop". The video file would have to be read from the beggining, which means that the game would literally pause for a second or two while CD-ROM drive repositioned its head to the beginning of the file. Yeah, back in the days that was a problem! Hence, the need to upgrade to a faster CD-ROM, which still exhibitted the problem, but less pronounced. The gameplay pausing for a second or two was a real bummer. You could *easilly* lose control of the ship and *die*. Aaaargh! However, I doubt this is a problem with current computers :)

But, I digress. I propose you watch a gameplay video on YouTube, check to see if you like it.

Cheers!

Me too. :) I wait for a new bundle discount to get the games which were added to GOG after the old bundle sales.
Hope they do a comedy game sale after this called "Look, I'm your fathers brothers cousins former roommate sale"
Apologies folks as I know this post may annoy some!

I have looked on the forum discussion for Rogue Squadron but can seem to find an answer for a slightly annoying issue I am having.

So the game starts and plays well enough but the NPCs movement seems to be really erratic and jittery. Has anyone else had this issue?

I respectfully disagree and say that the gameplay(beyond a certain level) is a jedi simulator and the game itself is quite fun even with it's age.

And outdated? Do you not know where we are?

I agree that Outcast is easier on the eyes in some respects and it's mechanics though.
