Exoanthrope: ... Wait, I do have a couple games from it. Flatout?!
The publisher being Strategy First is an easy way in. :)

How are the Combat Mission and Enemy Engaged series? Also, did anyone else notice the game links no longer work on the promo page? They don't link to the game cards for some reason.

They still work. It's just that the link moved to the popup with the reviews and extras list.

I see it now, but that is kind of confusing. Why did they take out the original links on the left?
Only one or two things I'm interested in and none are sounding any klaxons of instapurchasing.
I just noticed that you can't click on a games name anymore and open it in a new page to check out a game. That's quite a pain.

edit: ah, they hid the link on the right side of the screen. Not really intuitive.

The games are now mouseovers, and a link and further info appear at right.

However, the mouseovers do not work if your browser window is too narrow. The window doesn't need to be very narrow for them to fail. Mine is about the width of a sheet of paper. Plenty of room to display the descriptive text at right. The text just doesn't update, so I can't link to any of the games.

Random_Coffee: What is excellent in this promo? I already have JA1 and 2.

JudasIscariot: I myself am partial to Bionic Dues :)
Ghost Master is pretty great as well.

Yeah, I wish they would put the old links back on the left again.
This reminds me I should go play Capitalism 1 & 2 which I bought during winter sale. :)

There's plenty of interesting titles here, so many I don't know what to buy! T_T
Any recommendations besides AI War and Capitalism?

Also, it's funny I just realized I had totally forgotten about Tzar. I'm sure I played it but I have no memory of it at all.

Those links were simple and reliable.

It's about time they were enhanced.
Has anyone else noticed that if you mouse over a game in the promo the page scrolls up and it's not possible to click on a game's image?
high rated
I dislike the "new" interface that showed up at today's sale. It is not intuitive to mouseover and flashload each sidebar just to get a link to the game page. That's horribly inefficient design flow. Just horrible. Why can't I still just rapidly third-click-to-get-tabs for each game for which I want to see the store page? Why purposely make the buying experience more cumbersome?

Also showing only positive reviews on the sidebar is highly cynical.

Do you really think people are going to believe that Restaurant Empire is a Strategic Milestone? And Supreme Ruler 2010? The first, most broken iteration of a series so outright bad that it can't even sell during Steam sales? Really?

Of course you don't show any reviews in the Supreme Ruler 2010 sidebar, because it only has 2, and they're both 2 stars...

edit: I also notice that the 5 most upvoted reviews for Restaurant Empire are (correcly) devastatingly critical and negative, but none of these are showed in the Promo page. In fact, many of the negative reviews are pondering if the positive reviews are fictional (they might very well be). GOG this sort of shady "dark pattern" advertising is UNACCEPTABLE. I would be outraged of this even if I wasn't a customer with a huge account. I'm just... words almost fail me.

Many times I've been proud of GOG, but today, GOG, you disgust me.

Splatsch: In fact you can click on the game name of the game on top of the "summarized reviews" (on the upper right).
But I was a little confused at the beginning too, I made same thing first.

BreOl72: And thanks to you, too!
You're welcome, it's a pleasure if I can help :)

Splatsch: Oh, I was talking about Shattered Haven in your previous post, I'm really sorry, I didn't replied at the good post XD (but thanks anyway :))
I already own Bionic Dues and yes, it's a very good "X-Com like" but with it's particuliar feel, like you said :)

vicklemos: I won't tell you one thing about SH. It would spoil the fun. Give it a serious go and you won't regret it. After many, many hours I finished it and felt immensely proud :P
The way you talk about it increase my curiosity a lot, it looks very interesting, I may take it (I'll have to think about it). I really like the spirit of Arcen : they make very interesting and in a way unusual games. Thanks for your opinion :)

Austrobogulator: Yeah, that definitely does work, it's just stupid.

I can't fathom why they would make the name on the left unclickable.

EndreWhiteMane: So the page will work on a tablet properly. ;)
Well, maybe it works on a tablet properly but not in a 4" smartphone...
