75% off Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Startopia, Thief, Hitman, Omikron and more…

Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, better and more beautiful than ever before, this weekend our Square Enix catalog is discounted more than ever before. It's 25+ titles at an all-time GOG.com high 75% discount - the Square (pho)Enix

Omikron: The Nomad Soul is usually $9.99 on GOG.com - but now it's way less than that. That's great, because Omikron is one of the biggest, strangest, most interesting classics out there. Omikron is probably the first all-in-one game out there, a curious mix of adventure game, shooter, and surprisingly competent fighter. It's not the perfect game, few are, but there is something about the world and ambience that makes it one of the most immersive and legendary titles. It's also got a cameo and exclusive track by David Bowie, now that's cool.

Every time you mention Deus Ex someone reinstalls it. This legendary title needs no introduction, but perhaps this time it's going to be you? The Thief series is a steal at 75% off, and the light-and-sound based stealth mechanics still hold up to this day, better than many of its contemporaries for that matter. Then, there is Hitman - a completely different take on stealth, but one that's equally captivating. Few games have hit as many of the right notes as Hitman 3: Contracts - and you'll become the ultimate predator in no time.

The Square (pho)Enix rises from the ashes this weekend, with 75% off - the highest GOG.com discount on the catalog so far! The promo will last until Tuesday, October 13, 3:59 AM GMT.

ReynardFox: Sure would be nice to have some actual new Squeenix games around here.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution: DC and Tomb Raider: Anniversary too much to ask for?
avatar
haydenaurion: Those along with Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII. Fighting Force, Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain (Yes, I know about this game being in rights hell) and others would be nice too.
I'd especially like to see Fighting Force and Blood Omen out of those. :)
I didn't really realize Tomb Raider was here. Damn it, another one for the wishlist.

My wishlist is overloaded. ; ;

Keep it up Gog. ^^
Picked up Gex, the only one I was missing from the promo. Thanks GOG and Square Enix!
Finally decided to grab the TR series, and took a chance on Urban Chaos.

deonast: Now if only there was a FLAC soundtrack with "Omikron: The Nomad Soul". Can't get it on amazon last time I looked either. Though I'd like to hear it one day. I like Bowie

IronArcturus: How is the gameplay with Omikron? Is it an adventure game? Does it run in a window?
Good question I haven't had a chance to play it yet. Though I do own it. Reputation was that the soundtrack was pretty good and I do like Bowie so the completionist in me wanted the soundtrack to. Hopefully someone else in the forum has had more time in game to answer.

For those interested apparently (from what I've read) musical elements used in the game soundtrack done by Bowie found their way into his Hours... album. The song "New Angels Of Promise" apparently was lifted from the game and a few words changed. From what I've read the soundtrack was never released for separate sale so I guess looking for a CD out there was pointless exercise in my part.
I would have a question about Project Eden.
Is is true, that it doesn't work under Windows 8.x or 10?

EDIT: I found a solution here:

Unfortunately, none of these games includes a single Final Fantasy. I'm happy that Square (Pho)Enix got some titles on sale here, but will we be able to see one of their biggest series down the lane?
How are the Pandemonium games? Do they work with an Xbox 360 controller?

Yeah, Pandemonium 1 worked with a 360 controller for me, not sure about 2 as I don't think I tried it with that. Worst case, you can always use Joy2Key.

And i'm forgetting the Dungeon Siege series as Square Enix owns that series now as well.

Am I the only one who thought about the Vietnamese soup when seeing the title?

Well, I do love pho :)
Hitman 1+2 are masterpieces *flies away*
I'd buy the 7 or so remaining games I don't own, but sadly I don't have any money to spare atm :(
Damn... Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation looks horrible on Playstation:
