Up to 75% off Avernum series, Syberia 1+2, Atlantis series and more!


Friday, March 20. It's the first day of spring (in participating locations), the first day of our <span class="bold">Spring Breakers Weekend Promo</span>, and we've got a few handfuls worth of discounts (up to 75% off) for you. Break into that spring state of mind - take your laptop outside, (no connection required here!) or crack open your office window and soak in the warm, blooming air. Breathe in...


The evergreen lands of Atlantis 1+2 are as good a start as any, and it's tough to deny the pleasures of sailing the Caribbean in Corsairs Gold - but really, who knows where springtime adventure will take us eventually. We might just descend into Avernum, an underworld in turmoil, or perhaps delve into the Geneforge games and their ridiculously deep RPG mechanics. If you're not too big on the seasons changing, the cold and dreary lands of Syberia are always there to take you in with their mystery and adventure. All that and more is our impetuous springtime greeting.



Breathe out... The spring equinox overwhelms our senses with sunshine and allergies, it's a fine time to take on some of the greatest titles you maybe haven't gotten around to yet. There is nothing quite like the gust of warm wind to accompany a weekend gaming session, the <span class="bold">Spring Breakers Weekend Promo</span> is how we're doing it - how about you?

DeMignon: Well, only 15% of the games offer 75% discount, the rest is less discounted. That used to be different in the past or at least the ratio was a bit more appropriate. Don't fall for cheap marketing bla bla GOG, you're better than that. It almost looks like you've got some new marketing personal. This sale strategy is rubbish, because you loose credibility and amiability, which will hurt you in the long run.

We're always trying to bring you the best possible deals. That's why we do have some games at 75% off in this weekend promo and that's why we use the "up to" phrase. Would you rather we didn't mention their discount at all, or drop them from the promo altogether and wait for another one with more 75% off games? I admit, there is no perfect solution but the current one is the best we got.

Don't take me too seriously, I'm a bit in a rant mood today and I really hate lies and trickery in marketing (not talking about GOG here), be it commercials or whatnot. I simply detest those suckers preying on gullible people.

Thanks for answering. I appreciate your work and I like GOG, maybe that's why I'm a bit sensitive to these things. I don't think GOG needs any marketing tricks. It's all good, maybe I'm just in a bad mood today ;-)

Have most of the games already, but Avernum: Escape From the Pit looks like a worthy grab. And I had forgotten there even was a MegaRace 3. But yes, tons of good stuff in this sale - Syberia, Robin Hood, Haegemonia, and Dragon Lore, just for starters.

I figured that was the case, but I can't fault them here, it's not like there's one item at 75 and everything else is 10%. What really irritates me is seeing discount labels at the store, and upon closer inspection, it's 10 cents off. Fuck that shit.

The correct way would be "from 25% up to 75% off". It's easy not to upset people if you want to :)

Just finished Avernum: Escape From The Pit 15 minutes ago. About 50 hours of good old style RPG gaming for $3 or your equiv local currency can't be passed up. Only negative was a woeful end game sequence...not the story ending itself- the actual game play itself to finish, just so out of sync with the rest of the game. Rest of the game was just the way i like RPG's to be...uncover every square inch of map, talk to anything that talks, kill anything you don't like the look of, steal anything not nailed down.
