In the forum for The Escapists I asked if GOG would ever get the DLC. One helpful user contacted the publisher, and was told that there are no official plans to bring any of the DLC here.

If you don't want to be treated as a second-class customer, then I recommend avoiding this one. It's a shame that this is even allowed to happen, honestly.

EDIT 2: I've corrected this post. Originally I had written that the developers had been contacted, which was a mistake on my part. It was actually the publisher that was contacted.

EDIT 3: JudasIscariot has now told us that the DLC for The Escapists will be here as soon as possible.

The Escapists is a great game, but (at least the gog version, i didn't check any other) is broken by a huge bug, already reported ages ago, reported by team17 to the devs, and which nobody seems to intend to fix.

So, yeah, despite of all my love for that game (well, the couple of fully functionnal levels i've played), I have to also advise to avoid it.

Old post, but can't be let in its state. A new version arrived along with the DLC, and the game-breaking bug has been finally fixed. So, back to advising to buy this game, which now works 100%, and is, by itself, completely excellent.

That's sad to read, especially since the game seems awesome and it was on my to-buy-soon list already.
Well, off the wishlist it goes; they have lost a (potential) customer, as I won't buy the game anywhere else -I hate discrimination.

You know as someone who has IRL escaped from many maximum security prisons I should tell you that The Escapist is both unbalanced and unrealistically difficult.

Shit, the easiest mission on that game makes the time I dug out of San Quentin Death Row look like a cakewalk!

I hope GOG will refuse to sell any future games made from them. Such a shame.
