Commandos - Behind the Enemy Lines.
What OS are you using? If you are using Linux, you may need to check your mount options. particularly for /tmp.

I don't know if this is similar on Windows. On Linux I have to give the permission to execute the file to myself after downloading to a temporary folder.
Have you tried executing the installer as an administrator?

If you downloaded the file in your browser you can go to every file's directory from the download tab.

thats not the problem, the game downloaded ok and even runs but its in spanish!, I assumed it would be english later i found a language selector on the download page. So now i want to uninstall the spanish version and reinstall the english. but neither does work. I think its due to some stuff being left in this temp directory so where is it so i can check it out?

ysvry: snip
I thought you could find your temporary folder by simply going to the containing folder of your download. Since I'm not on Windows I don't know where the temporary directory is.

What you do you mean that the uninstaller doesn't work? You execute the shortcut, but it doesn't run? Did you try running the uninstaller executable directly from the game's installation folder?
