It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

chandra: Wanted to let you know that we're aware of this issue and our Team is currently working on a fix. Fallout 3 GOTY should be ok now, I'll let you know once other affected installers are back to normal.

AB2012: Just retested it, and it's still broken for me:-
https://www.gog.com/upload/forum/2021/10/cc97035d4a21bdd9689366e6679db9f0c87591e3.jpg

Edit: By broken I mean the 4GB setup_fallout_3_1.7.0.3_(12034)-1.bin file is still exactly 8,388,608 bytes in size.
I tried the offline installer (1.bin) and it is seeing it as a 4 GB file

Anyone else still having problems? I just completely cleared the browser cache along with today's browsing history, quit the browser, completely wiped the cache folder, restarted the browser, and it's still at 8MB.

Edit: The fact it's downloading from "cdn.gog.com" (Content Delivery Network?) makes me wonder if some servers around the world are affected but not others.

Edit 2 : So far myself and groundhog42 (both UK), Mori_Yuki (Austria), Cadaver747 (Russia), randomuser.833 (Germany) and Lhun Duum & BloodScourge (both France) are all seeing the problem, whilst Ketobak (Argentina) and wolfsite (Canada) seem to not be. Maybe the fault lies with GOG's European regional "CDN / cache" server? It would be useful if more people from other countries tested to get a clearer picture.

Edit 3: With people reporting the same issue from USA, Australia and Taiwan, it's clearly a global problem.

Still broken for me, you may be right about the CDN thing.
Like others have said. Seems to be a bigger issue than specific games.
Tried downloading Trine and Stellaris and the download gets stuck pretty much halfway for me. The speed jumps between 0.0 MB/s to full speed.

I still got the same issue as before, with Fallout 3 GOTY (EN) which was tested with a vanilla Chrome Browser installation and Firefox (93.0 just updated). It's also still the same situation with the games mentioned before plus Spellforce Platinum, the second of 2 files. Since this only has an English version it seems to confirm my suspicion that it is only the English files being affected.

Yeah it's clearly a big server problem as I'm also seeing it on:-

- Ascendant (Linux version)
- Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 Enhanced (part 2 on both plus Linux & Mac versions of BG2)
- BioShock Remastered (parts 3 & 4) but not Bioshock Classic
- BioShock 2 Remastered (part 3) but not Bioshock 2 Classic
- Blade of Darkness Demo (part 2)
- Deadlight: Director's Cut (part 3)
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director’s Cut (parts 2 & 5)
- Divinity Original Sin (part2)
- Dishonored (parts 2 & 4)
- Dragon Age Origins (parts 4, 6 & 7)
- Dreamfall Chapters: The Final Cut (part 3)
- Dusk (part 2)
- FEAR Platinum Edition (part 3)
- Freespace 2 (part 2)
- Full Throttle Remastered (part 2). Linux version is also affected.
- Gothic (part 2)
- Hitman: Absolution (parts 4 & 5)
- Horizon Zero Dawn. Tested by Mori Yuki
- J.U.L.I.A. Among the Stars (part 2)
- Kentucky Route Zero (part 2). Tested by emme.
- Loria (Linux version)
- Mad Max (part 9). Tested by Mori Yuki
- Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest (part 2)
- Metamorphosis (part 3). Tested by Mori Yuki
- No Mans Sky (part 3). Tested by emme.
- NWN Diamond (part 2)
- NWN Enhanced (Infinite Dungeons, Pirates of the Sword Coast DLC, Linux version)
- Oxenfree 32-bit (part 2), but not 64-bit part 2)
- Planescape Torment (Linux version, both Classic & Enhanced Edition)
- Prey (parts 4, 5 and 8)
- Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut (part 2)
- Shadow Warrior Classic Complete (Linux version)
- SOMA (parts 2 & 3)
- Stardew Valley (Linux version)
- Stronghold HD (part 2)
- Styx: Master of Shadows (part 5)
- Succubus (parts 3, 4, 6 and 8). Tested by randomuser.833
- The Dig (part 2 and Linux Version)
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (part 2)
- The Saboteur (parts 2 & 3)
- The Talos Principle: Gold Edition (part 2)
- Thief 3 Deadly Shadows (part 2)
- Titan Quest Anniversary Edition (parts 2 & 3)
- Tomb Raider GOTY (parts 3-4). Tested by emme.
- Torchlight 2 (Linux version)
- Tropico 4 (part 3)
- Thief 3: Deadly Shadows (part 3)
- Trine Enchanted Edition. Tested by kbnrylaec
- Wanderlust: Transsiberian (Linux version)
- Warsow (Linux version)
- Witcher III. Tested by Mori Yuki
- Xenonauts (Linux version)

The pattern seems to be:-

1. It only seem to appear on large .bin files, not the small .exe's of multi-chunk files or single .exe downloads for smaller games. Some games will have it on some .bin's but not others.

2. English language only (where you have the option of downloading multiple language)

3. Every file's "completed" download size is exactly 8,388,608 bytes.

I initially thought it was just Windows only, but Baldur's Gate 2, Full Throttle Remastered, Torchlight 2, etc, all seem to have corrupted 8MB sized .sh Linux installers. At least one game (Baldurs Gate 2) has a broken Mac version too, so all 3 platforms (Win / Mac / Lin) are affected.

It's broken for me too, even in some small free games. Eg, Beneath A Steel Sky downloads fine for Windows but the Linux version that should be "100MB" downloads as the same exact 8MB size as people mentioned above.

Edit: People who use that gogrepo utility to automatically batch download things might want to disable that to avoid overwriting their working backups with hundreds of broken files...

I've just tried downloading that 4GB file in the UK and it's downloaded as an 8MB file.

You might want to add the Blade of Darkness Demo. Same Problem.
I've been doing backup for the past few days (linux installers) with no problem until now. This morning was fine (10.00 AM-12.00 PM UTC+2 in France), but every linux installer is now truncated to 8MiB exactly rather than corrupted.
And Succubus part 3, 4, 6 and 8.
Meh.
F.E.A.R. Platinum Edition part 3 is affected as well.
and The Saboteur part 3.
There's others, I'm sure, it's hard to keep track of them all on my end.
Trine Enchanted Edition is affected.
Succubus is affected.
Okay, seems as if "Downloadgate" spreads wider than any imagination!
