The sights and sounds of The Witcher

Our friends at CD PROJEKT RED have just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showcasing the unique universe that you're about to set foot in.

Set in a world where dark, gritty fantasy meets Slavic lore and story telling - the morally grey universe of The Witcher has always been half of the series' success. This newest trailer is about introducing you to that beautiful, but troubled land. You'll get a feel for the absolute scale and detail of the world that you'll be exploring - the openness, the choices, the consequences, and the freedom to influence a world that may not even be worth saving.

But you're not here to read about it, are you? Let's watch.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just over a month away, and you can pre-order the game right now - it's a particularly great deal if you own the previous Witcher games and take advantage of the additional fan discount. CD PROJEKT RED have also just announced the Expansion Pass with 30 more hours of finely crafted content to be released in the following months.

JudasIscariot: Unfortunately, there's nothing we can really do about The Great Firewall :(

(edited because fronzelneekburm is not in Germany atm :P )
Don't feel bad. My brother works in education, and even they can't do anything about the Great Firewall. They can't even email out the college papers to the university their government is paying for them to attend.
This is set to be one hell of a game and a must have. But that cynical part of me knows that there will be an Enhanced Edition at some point and there'll be a world of difference between that and what will be released initially.

But all the same, I don't think I want to wait that long to experience this game.

That's exactly what is preventing me to get the game in pre-order (apart from the bad PR with the expansions, of course). I played TW1 in the EE. I preordered TW2, but never got around playing it before the EE. So I wonder, if I preorder now, since I won't play the game for a long while (soooo many games to finish first...), wouldn't it be better if I waited for an EE we all here know will eventually come?

Yeah, the backlog is definitely a consideration. No way I'm getting through all that before the EE. Even if it's a year later (yes it's that bad). Meh, maybe you're right. Logically you're definitely right. But I logic might have a hard time suppressing my excitement for a title that's as far up my street as this is (Cyberpunk is far closer to the mark, but this still ticks a hell of a lot of boxes).
Great Trailer :)

So why are they doing this pass thing? I have loved the Witcher games, but my gut tells me NOT to buy this pass, just as i`ve never bought in any game in the hope I will get something further down the line. i`ve been burnt by pre-orders, hype, and now this passes thing that take my money first, but taking my money MONTHS in advanced?

No, no matter how much I like the Witcher I shall not let my `wants` rule my head. I can`t throw away my principles just like that. I hope GOG and CD project aren`t throwing away theirs.

I`ll just wait till they`re all made and ready thanks. My money can stay in my pocket until then.

MuhOo: Did you downgrade the graphics? Looks worse than the other trailers....
Yeah, it certainly looks that they scrolled down the graphics in the game. It looks more plausible now than the graphics from older trailers.

Nothing wrong with that. Better than jumping on the band wagon of "they have betrayed us". I mean seriously...

They make the effort to give us serious expansion packs, I'll gladly pay.

"Vampire"!
"Is it May 19, 2015, yet"?

RadonGOG: Why not using your own video player?!
Then I'm assuming the countries in question would catch on and block GOG to block videos at some stage if they didn't like something. Use a VPN or get together as citizens and demand your governments stop blocking stuff.

I liked the line "Drink with me you cocksucker" question is if you drink with them to be polite would they then be expecting something from the cocksucker ;p

It is a very good line, hopefully the rest of the content is on that level and we haven't seen all the best in the video. Like you see in some movie trailers.
