That I would actually be interested in. Not an adaptation of the movie itself, but a new story set in the Aliens universe might be done quite well that way.

Yay. More games with stupidly long lifespans for leaders.

While China would not be my perfered setting, I would for sure still play it. I would perfer to see a Medieval 3 though. I own almost all of the Total War games and would buy all of them again if they released on GOG.

I fell out with Total War once I picked up Paradox games, but this looks like something I might pick up, I've been slowly reading Three Kingdoms. Probably on sale though, the last, and really only, one I played was Rome 1.

bolded: same. Paradox is much better at emergent storytelling, and that's what I want especially from a Romance of the Three Kingdoms game.
