Game is average, you can tell that it was really meant to be something more than it was. Worst part about it was the horrid camera during combat .
Cant wait to see the game here. It was a agood game not great but had some charm to it.
Game felt empty for an open world and it needed more fixes but, in general, i would also like to see the game here.

+1

(and wishlist voted)
I replayed it this summer, I would be happy to have it here. Something about it I like but I can't put my finger on it. It's generic, it's too vast, too many fetch quests, mmo-like feel and some voices sound either childish or cringeworthy but something is there that I like. I really enjoyed exploring the world and its lore that was apparently created by some D&D legend.

I highly recommend anyone playing it to mess with the difficulty mod to balance the game and preferably choose all skills (trainer if it's necessary) of the 3 talent trees, it gets rather boring just playing as a warrior, assassin or a mage but as all 3 it's pretty fun. There's a skill on the warrior tree called Relentless Assault that is in my opinion a must have because without it enemies can stagger your attacks and with spells, that's too annoying.

In one of the DLC you get a house and some people move in and you can do a favor's quest line where you do favors for people you get to know during this DLC, I really liked that, added to the relationship you built with the other NPCs even if it's rather superifically, it's something.

Awesome, but I would like achievements on gog version. Hope THQ Nordic realises that and adds achievements IF it's going to be on GOG.COM.
THQ Nordic must really understand that they can't ignore the achievements for all their games that releases here on GOG, hopefully they will change attitude, there are a lot of interesting games coming up that are in their hands.

We have R.A. Salvatore (lot of Forgotten Realms books!), Ken Rolston (Elder Scrolls III and IV) and Todd McFarlane (Spawn, but i also loved his Spiderman) 'Nuff said!! (or Excelsior!!) :D
Have to admit but THQ Nordic is really evolving as a studio. I see them accomplishing more than most major studios did in years. very happy with there mind set on DRM-Free and other platforms and free upgrades to early game owners like the Darksiders series as well Creative new IP's down the pipeline.

I started playing this but dropped it.
Well, I think everyone can guess where I stand on this.

As for bugs, I have the PS3 version and apparently never got all the bug fixes that everyone else got. Even patched all the way, I have yet to have an Amalur session that didn't grace me with at least one questbreaking bug that would require a save reload to fix. Really, I only know of one company that puts out buggier games that are still mostly playable and that's Bethesda. At least Big Huge Games has a reasonable excuse for not putting out bugfixes.

I am so looking forward to playing this on PC.

But you have a private Gog profile .
I loved KoA! Would love to see more materials from the IP.
Looks like a 3rd person RPG with character creation/customization based on a short & sloppy picture search. I do have a weak spot for those. Would be a nice surprise title I guess.

It got my vote but my HypeO-DisapointO-Meter is still too exhausted from CP2077. Will check out the details should it arrive here.

WinterSnowfall: Yeah, I was hoping they got other game IPs as well... which they won't mention unless someone decides to pester them about it :). 38 Studios had dealings with Big Huge Games before it went bankrupt.

Grargar: If they got other game IPs, I'm pretty sure that they would have mentioned them (as they have done in past acquisition announcements). Other news sites report that the assets are related to the Amalur MMO that was never materialized.

And, no they didn't get their hands on Rise of Nations, if that's what you were hoping. :) That's still Microsoft's baby.
Hmm. Was Rise of Legends tied up with Microsoft? I know it wasn't as big of a hit as Rise of Nations, but I really enjoyed its more imaginative approach.

Edit:
Microsoft as publisher...So I'd guess it was. Bummer.

I really hope there will be a DRM-free version of this game on GOG.

Microsoft acquired the rights to the series sometime after the closure of 38 Studios/Big Huge Games. If they ever deem it fit, they might release a new version of Rise of Legends, as they did with Rise of Nations.
