G-Doc: *snicker*

JinseiNGC224: Kudos on this weeks hint guys...you've got everyone stumped!
Did we now? ;-)
avatar
tritone: Where is the "The Week on GOG in case you missed it" on GOG's blog? Why isn't the Enigmatic Hint on there?

Inquiring minds want to know.
With the rest of the GOG.com Marketing and PR team only just now coming back from San Francisco GDC I had a little too much on my hands to make it in time.

Barry_Woodward: DUNGEON MASTER!!!

Would definitely be sweet (although obviously we'd be getting the DOS version - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GfHH_-4KzU - not the Amiga), but my bet is still closer to Slave Zero because we've been getting many Tommo games.

How was GDC sorry i couldn't make it up there for the meetup got called into work :( Also how did your talks with any publishers go, Did you manage to snag any that weren't willing to work with you in the past?
Dungeon Master would actually be a bit of a let-down, I'd still buy it but I wouldn't play it, that's because there's a Windows remake of DM which uses the original assets and is far better than the old versions, it was made with the blessing/permission of the original DM devs too.
Quake? The 3D engine was SlaveDriver if I recall correctly and the photo seems to be going up and down and not just in focus and out of focus (see the exposed table).

According to here, SlaveDriver was only used for the Saturn port of Quake. Though that does point back to PowerSlave.

Clearly a reference to Premier Manager 2

Loved that game when I was a kid.

adambiser: That was released in 2010 though, right? I saw that, but figured 2010 didn't place it in the "classic" category...
Quite agree that a 2010 game shouldn't be seen a "classic" , but on the other hand, the stalker games were released in 2007-2010, yet were the subject of an "enigmatic hint"

And then, G-doc posted "a snicker". Muttley, from wacky races . Could be unrelated, could also hint to an arcade combat driving game. My 5 cts anyway, as this hint has been the one that puzzled me the most so far

I think they differentiate "next week's enigmatic hint" and "next week's classic release enigmatic hint". This time 'classic' version was used.

EDIT:

(...)but it’s an Enigmatic Hint for an upcoming GOG.com release (...)

Dungeon Master would be a let down? I'd love to see both DM here, it would be one of the best releases this year on gog.
Don't ask me to reproduce my train of thought but I came up with Micro Machines. One of them - Micro Machines v4 - fits nicely with its number ;)

I'm pretty sure it's not related, but if it were it could theoretically point to Wacky Wheels, a long-overdue Apogee game. I tweeted about it a month+ back, and Apogee said they would look into it, then handed the work over to Cascadia Games afaik. (I don't think enough time has passed for GOG to quality-test it, though.)

truhlik77: Hehe, Never heard about this bug. It's long time I played TD3 last time. Let see if we can reproduce it next week :)
I was wrong, Test Drive 3 *was* the game I played. I guess I thought "2" because it was the second Test Drive I played. TD3 was a blast! I remember doing all sorts of crazy things in the game... well, at least I thought they were crazy at the time. Jumping, etc... none of that was in TD1.
So. Warlock : Master of the Arcane.

Please ?
