skeletonbow: It's possible that it isn't about disabling Galaxy features, but rather that they want their customers to have a unified experience on any platform whether they use Windows or Linux (or Mac for that matter) and don't want to fragment the userbase between people who have some features and others who do not when they all paid the same price.
Perhaps, but this "solution" is much worse IMO. If version with online features disabled was provided for Linux then at least we'd have *something* rather than nothing at all.

Also take the GOG version of Saints Row: The Third, for example. Store page says "NOTE: Multiplayer is available only through a LAN connection" and one of the reviews says:
I own this game on Steam. I loved it, even if the story and characters paled in comparison to the SR2.
But let's be clear, as fun as the game is playing solo, the best play is co-op play. And this GOG version doesn't do online co-op. Disappointing to say the least, as someone who would love to play co-op with his international wife.
Still worth buying, but it does feel like only half a game without that online component. Here's hoping GOG can get it working through Galaxy or something.
GOG and Deep Silver don't seem to have a problem with broken/missing features for the Windows versions here, so why should it suddenly be a problem when it comes to the Linux versions?
Alternatively I've heard that multiplayer is broken on one of the Saint's Row games on Linux, and the other ones are buggy also, so it's possible that is why they're not here as well.
On Steam, the Linux version of Saints Row 2 is buggy to the point that I can't see GOG accepting it. Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV could offer better performance, but they're not that bad - I've played through them and they're generally stable at least. I haven't tried the Steam version of GooH but I'd expect it to be similar as it uses the same engine as SR3 and SR4.

Sorry, should I have used "gal" instead of "dude"? Dude is often used as fairly gender-neutral.

Anyway, what I'm saying is, I would have said pretty much what you did if yo hadn't done so first.

I've played through GooH on Linux, and find it to be in pretty good shape, I can't compare it to Windows though, as I haven't played it there.

Also, SR2 is a buggy piece of mess even on Windows, and perhaps the mods don't work as well under Wine? I've only played that on Windows (unmodded non-GOG version to begin with, which made much of the game incredibly easy when I had almost learned to handle the speed and then installed the mod slowing it down to normal speed).

The Windows version of SR2 runs better in Wine than the official Linux release: https://www.gog.com/forum/saints_row_series/saints_row_2_for_linux haven't tested it with any mods yet but I'll be looking into it
I'm not in, but thanks for the giveaway!

From what I've heard from devs who have Linux games on here, there are significant hoops to jump through to list a Linux game on GoG and _very_ negligible sales (one dev reporting less than 1 per month) to justify jumping through those hoops. I can see why some developers would view it as a waste of time and resources. I'd love to see Linux SR, KOTORII and Metro here.
I'm in for Imperium Galactica II: Alliances and X3: Reunion

Thank you & +1!
Well, I will try my luck for Shadow Warrior (2013). Thx for giveaway.

I can't imagine that it would be any more involved than listing a Windows game here, unless they've made it unnecessarily convoluted for some reason. As for sales numbers, it will vary. Obviously, niche indie titles that already sell in low numbers anyway will have very low numbers on Linux too, but games like the Saints Row and Metro Redux series are AAA titles & very popular.

Something else I forgot to mention earlier is that the version of Saints Row: The Third provided here appears to be the Steam version with a crack, judging by the dummy steam_api.dll it uses. It's possible that they could use a similar approach to provide the Linux versions too, although VP have already said they can prepare DRM-free builds for GOG but they need to be asked to do so by Deep Silver first.
