OK, but you're not going to get the CD version of Arena from Bethesda's site.

For a thread with such a title I find the actual content strangly timid.

You're not purchasing the games just for the freebie, are you?
If you just want the freebie, look elsewhere.
Nothing wrong IMO.

Arena and Daggerfall which you get here ape be version and on official rite it's floppy version.
Also here you get tweaked version which saves you from alot of fuss.

Bethesda holds the copyright to those games, so they can give them away whenever they want, but nobody else may without their permission. I agree that would be wonderful if we could get Arena and Daggerfall for free here on GOG, but it seems that Bethesda wants to keep them as an incentive for buying the other games of theirs from here, just as Bethesda offer those games as an incentive for visiting the Morrowind site.

Those versions if I recall, also ran like molasses on thick tar, and the GOG versions are obviously tidied up.
