apehater: i don't get it
It's a Moroccan thing, think of it like this: since the first Cuban started selling new car parts in Havana.

Emob78: ...since the first Arab started selling wheels in Marrakesh...

That's where Indiana Jones was going to sell some shit in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I just threw in that line about the wheel to sound scientific and smart. Guess I didn't fool you.

So tell me, just how excited are you for the PS9?

Not ready? Sure you are. And if not, a Nanny bot can assist you. Just remember that if you resist, we will are required by law to notify a Securitron and have you relocated to a brain farm for neural restructuring and behavior modification.

AnimalMother117: But, I would say that no one will want to play a Battlefield 6 much less a 12.
Heh. Except for those few million lemmings who will happily buy it anyway, heavy DRM and other assorted customer-buttrape included.
It is an attack vs your memory. You will not own the game bytes, the streamer can turn them into whatever he wants for the next time you want to stream it down, any image can be suppressed, any graphical or aural or control experience you want to relive may be gone and there is no return back. If pressed, anyone may say it was your imagination, you are crazy, what do you mean? Dragons in game X? You must be nuts! And there will be nothing objective to refresh your memory when it happened that THAT scene is what you ll always remember as the heist of your gaming experience...
I frankly think console gamer like their outlet, as I am deeply a PC fancier.

If I could hop onto something from, say, a tablet, why would I do it, when I love PC? Or console, for the same argument. Or around.

PC gamers for the most, I hope, have no misgivings about console gamer bros and sis - only about corporate gaming publishers' day zero console ports.

The perfect platform cross-over awaits, and I dare think it would do well.

Would you be my bro, I've never had one before?
It's a trap!

Tsk. Substance over from -- I prefer to think console vs PC rather artificial conflict, when gamers in general all want performant yet fairly affordable platforms, properly adapted gamer interface, and great gaming content.

No gaming sis? Sad maybe that Kleetus...

Edit: Not sad because you should prefer a bro, only I cannot offer what u want - being a gamer-gal. Just I think that's pretty fine too. My actual bro thinks so, actually! :-D

apehater: "Games will be accessed by streaming technology, so we don't need hardware intermediaries in between the two."
No, no. Shitty AAA mutliplayer shooters will be accessed by streaming. All the other games will be on Gog with no intermediary DRM between players and videogames. And we'll be here playing them.
While I'm sure a few publishers would love streaming game devices to be the new thing, it's not going to be. If consoles die more people will own gaming PC rigs and simply play games directly on those. Streaming games although a kind of cool alternate way to play games probably isn't feasible with the broadband infrastructure we currently rock in the US. A lot of big ISP's are looking to do data caps. Someone streaming in a game say the size of Witcher 3 or Skyrim is going to be getting their ISP cranky

Kleetus: I'm still waiting for the promised paperless office, I've already thrown out all my paper and printer in excited anticipation.
At our workplace we are so advanced we have already moved to paperless toilets. Yep, wiping to your hand feels like you are in a spaceship or something!

Oh, yes you could.

EDIT: Forgot to add, Swiss is one of my favourite cheeses.
