joppo: Hah, I was confused by that too! They must have changed the quote number by accident.

sanscript: I see what you both did there ;-)

Edit: now I'm wondering who will receive a notification, the owner of the post of which I clicked the Reply button or the outermost quote's poster.
It's actually the reply button that generates the window that triggers the notification regardless of who is quoted (or even if no one is quoted).

Sorry to keep you waiting, I have been busy. Now... back to Theme Hospital. This is the CD rom disc distributed by Sold Out and owned by Electronic Arts. I have no idea what the "gog" version is, I can't see it written anywhere on the packaging. I have no idea what corsairTHX is either. All I know is, its a cd rom game on disc compatible with Windows Vista. I have played the game for years on XP, Vista and Windows 7. When you start any level of the game there should be a timer above the dollar sign - there isn't. When this game is played using XP, you need to put the disc in every time, but with windows 7 you can install the game onto the hard drive and play it from there. My laptop only has XP and I have played it successfully using XP for a long time now. I have uninstalled it reinstalled it etc., but at the start of game one, there is no timer! I don't think it is a glitch in the game as it can only be run from the CD.

GOG version is the GOG package sold here that has been updated to run on modern systems. You know, the website to which you're posting this question...?

Well this thread just took a strange turn.

To the OP, your best bet is to run the DOS version in DOSBox (which is exactly how the GOG version works). The windows version was designed for Windows 95 and thus is bound to suffer from compatibility problems.

I'm curious as to how you found your way here to ask your question and how you managed not to notice the website you're posting on is a store called GOG. Naturally the "GOG version" means the version fixed up by and sold by this very website.

paladin181: *CorsixTH
It honestly isn't that good of a name. What even is Corsix?

Probably the modder's user name who developed it.

Sparky33: I honestly have no idea how I even stumbled in here.
Well, that explains everything. :P

As Paladin hinted on, it's the username of the creator, Peter Cawley, UK.

Hey, no one on this page even said that! :P
