New and improved Skabma 1.1! In the last couple of weeks, we have been able to enhance the Skábma experience even more!
As many of you already know: we game devs are often perfectionists and might find things to improve in our games. When we get a chance to improve things, we absolutely, no questions asked, do it (until someone says stop and pulls the plug, money runs out or we ourselves are happy with it).
We are now the latter: very proud and happy.
So what have we done? Firstly: players who played Skábma when it was launched might find this game quite different - in a good way. We have added content, made navigation easier, fixed bugs that we missed the first time around, improved the visuals, the gameplay and performance… Oh my! So many things that I might even recommend playing the game again!
Secondly, to the new players: you have a true gem in your hands (in my VERY unbiased opinion), a labor of love and let’s not forget: a piece of history. Skábma was made by a very small and overly ambitious team with limited resources, battling against all plagues possible. Here’s a list of at least a few of them: gnats, darkness, plague and occasional crickets when someone makes a bad joke in the daily meeting.
This was never just a game, it was paving the way to future indigenous game devs so their path would be easier.
I can’t be more proud of what the team has accomplished and I hope that you, as a player, see it too. Enjoy the new and improved Skábma 1.1!
