I did a search but found nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

One of the most popular tv shows with one of the most anticipated episodes airs tonight. Figured it should have a thread.
So who dies tonight? I'm all talked out and ready to see what happens. Will it be the same as the comics which I've never read but anyone who is a fan of the show has heard by now how Negan is introduced in them. unless you live under a rock.
What other silly things can the main cast do to put themselves in a corner against Negan?
Will the writers be bold enough to kill off one or more of the 5 remaining cast members from the first season?
I would hate to lose any of them and I do hope its a secondary character.
Only thing I ask is the death make sense in story terms and not be gratuitous but I'm not confident they can pull it off.

Lets discuss!
My brother calls me up every week and makes fun of me for not watching this. XD

Its not too late to start. Imo the first season is easily the best. The first few seasons were definitely about the zombies which is what many gamers like with the popularity of zombie games. But the last couple seasons have kind of turned it into a survivor show with zombies as a backdrop.
Survivability games have lately also become popular which is why I kinda found it surprising there was no TWD thread here.
One reason why I don't like TWD is because of unpredictability of who will die next from the main cast.

Imagine having emotionally invested in a main character only to see him die at the end makes things go sour for some people.

That's hilarious because I watched the 1st season and found it one of the worst shows I've ever seen!!! I could not BELIEVE how atrocious it was!

I might've watched it if it didn't have Rick. Rick and Rick alone made me stop watching the show. As it is, I managed to make it to the end of season one thanks to a roommate who watched it every week.

Edit: Ah what the heck, might as well throw this out. Completely unrelated but I wish Jericho hadn't been canceled, it could've been a great show (and was for a while).

Yeah I can't stand Andrew Lincoln either, I stopped caring about that show at the start of season 2.

I just read a summary of the episode tonite because I was interested as to how they were gonna match the story to the comic, or not. And of course they didn't even show what I wanted to see and left it for next season. Fuck that show.

I'm making fun of your brother for watching this. I found it to be pretty boring (but then again I'm fed up with zombies) with bland uninteresting characters that you can't get attached to, and don't really care if they live or die. In fact, some of them you kinda want to die. Three seasons in (third season was a huge drag for me) I quit it and I'm never going back. The Telltale game has a much more interesting story (and characters) than the TV series.
I hate it when apparently smart characters starting to behave in a stupid and irrational way just to create tension and conflict...or worse, a cheap death.

Not the biggest fan in the world of the show, but, season 1 was actually one of the better seasons. It picked up again after was it 4 or 5? (ones in between were too talky and not enough dead apparently)..

Its why I said the first season is easily the best meaning out of all 5-6 seasons now, the first season of the history of this show was the best.
Now what you said could also be true but I don't know your tastes. Maybe what you think is good could be awful for me.
But then again, I don't know why you would say it was atrocious as it is nothing like that in those 6 episodes. Its about the beginnings of a worldwide outbreak with nothing out of the ordinary. Characters get introduced, people live and die and so on. I'd be curious why you found it that way and have a healthy debate about it. I may even agree with you who knows but making a hyperbolic statement and then leaving makes me think you were just wanting to emphasize your opinion and nothing more?

All I said was out of all the seasons of TWD, the first season was easily the best. He could watch the first season because it is only 6 episodes and make up his mind about the other seasons.
I will say though this season that just finished, stay away from it. It was so bad due to nothing being lived up to from the ptb and gotcha type moments in every episode. Read a recap if you want or if you're planning to binge watch it. Skip it and you'll save yourself a lot of annoyances.
I quit at the start of either this season or last season. Just couldn't take it anymore. >_<

While I enjoyed the first season I actually prefer 2 and 3 (Hershel being one of my favorite characters). 4 was good but a little disjointed and in 5 I enjoyed the Terminus arc but Alexandria has been a bit of a disappointment. Sadly Season 6 has been a major letdown. Especially the finale!! While I enjoyed the Negan intro (finally!), the actual ending was rubbish. Not knowing who meets Lucille is silly for long time fans and Daryl being there with not so much as an explanation as to what happened at the end of the previous episode? It made the previous episodes ending a bit pointless

I'm with ya. I get the feeling that most tv shows should end after season 3 or 4. The formulas get too convoluted as the writers come up with more and more bizarre ways to make the show interesting. Is Carl still alive? My cynical eye sees the writers turning him into a cult leader down the road.

And for the life of me, why have they skipped over the zombie infection rules? In season one didn't they establish the idea that you weren't supposed to get any zombie blood on your skin or in your eyes? There was even a scene with Rick wearing a face mask as he baseball batted a walker. A few episodes later and they're covering themselves in zombie goop to hide their human scent from the zombies. TWD seems to love making up arbitrary rules for its universe and then immediately contradicting them at every turn.

Walking Dead started off making little sense and it only got worse from there.
