KiNgBrAdLeY7: I seriously wonder if 2024 olympics in france will have "great fireworks"... Heh heh...
Ha! If the 2024 Olympic Games take place in France, there's a non-zero chance there won't be fireworks. Most of our political people prefer submitting to the terrorists by cancelling centuries-old gatherings that are part of our cultural heritage at the potential cost of several lives saved**—"We must not hide because of fear; we must keep living; we must show them that we're still there," they say. Meanwhile, they've already cancelled at least three or four sport competitions, firework displays, etc. Ha! They're good jokers, aren't they?—rather than assuming the possibility of an attack and making sure everything is in place and deploying more troops to secure the population.
Anyway, even if they do take place in France and everything is maintained, there's a good chance the opening ceremony will, uh . . . suck, plain suck. Yep, just take a look at the opening ceremony of the UEFA Euro 2016 that took place in Paris; that thing was laughable, and the sad thing is I'm pretty sure it didn't have anything to do with money.
** "Potential" because they seem to not realise terrorist attacks can happen at any time, and don't always happen at a relevant moment.
Edit. Of course, just after I posted, I realised the hidden and subtle meaning of your words. But my point for the original meaning still stands. :P
