Shame they didn't include any of the Dragon Warrior games. Would have been nice to have at least 1 & 2 on there, particularly since there are good reasons to play those games over their remakes (remember, some people *like* to level grind).

On the other hand, I do notice Final Fantasy on the list (though, for that particular game, my preferred version is actually the PSX one).

Name one RPG that isn't some action rpg that isnt? :P
I would have liked all 4 DW/DQ games on there really.

Final Fantasy 4 and onward (though many of them do have action elements that don't belong; looking at you FF7 and FF10 in particular).

Almost any 8 or 16 bit FF games are grindy too. Try doing absolutely none and you won't get very far past a certain point, Especially in hard type FF4. :P

I wish more threads could be more like this and the "older games" one.

It's these conversations that make this forum fun, even if Snowkatt wouldn't know a good sports game if it came up and bit her on the ass. :D

Final Fantasy 4 is so grindy, at least the DS version.

On 6 with absolutely no grinding, I hit a brick wall at about the start of world of ruin. Chrono trigger I remember having to do some at that robot factory or whatever, riding that conveyor belt where you get attacked like 10 times before it ends is a damned good place to grind.
