there funnier games out there i believe and it always had this island appeal which i would like for a building sim but not for a shooter
a few of the shooters ive enjoyed were fallout 3, hard reset, the darkness 2, UT guess those paint a pretty nice picture of my expectations towards fps games :)

edit: oh and ofc the deus ex franchise and alien rage unlimited

nah, aside from the fact its quite a different setting / no scifi in the plot, its the endless repetition and respawing enemies.
other than that it was pretty good.
ah... so more of an "arcade" FPS fan maybe? - definately the opposite end of the spectrum to me

if you call fallout, deus ex and the darkness 2 arcade :P

havent played darkness 2, but I dont count fallout and deus ex as shooters

well sure technically they are hybrids but in the end o me the fps kinda part always felt a lot more dominant than the rpg elements for example and i dont like having a camera on my shoulder while shooting :D

The Witcher beta was quite enjoyable. Would be best to play with friends or people who are willing to chat in a positive way as it makes the game that much more interesting. If decide to play I would be up for a game, and Ragnarblackmane and dedoporno are two guys that are enjoyable to play with too.
Not a fan of the Fallout series so I would say they made it better :)

There's enough of the board game aesthetic to make playing the game over skype or with vent quite enjoyable too, I can imagine.

Which would be the "best" one to try? (in the context of this vid obviously F3,) but overall, which is considered best?

I have watched the whole vid aswell, but still such writing and talent is wasted on ponies. Instead the writer could have worked with Bethesda on making Fallout 4 alot better with the same kind of characters. And I sam also somewhat upset that the Fallout Equestria guys barely acknowledge Fallout 1 and 2, they clearly were using Fallout 3 as in insperation. That one brony said, "I tried Fallouy 1, but it was not my cup of tea" That Brony is missing out big time.

Any from what is overall the best fallout games is split into 2 categories.

People think Fallout 1 is the best because of the more serious nature of the story, The emphasis of the post apocalyptic setting. And the oh the ending will make you cry. (Fasllout 1 is also more easier to play than Fallout 2)

People like Fallout 2 the best from a gameplay and more deeper RPG elements, they liked the multiple factions you can join and the humorous side of the game compared to the first, you can go as far as being a porn star. The roleplaying elements in the game is much deeper. Its less serious than the fallout 1 but the story to be told is pretty dire, lets just say the fate of the WORLD is at stake from a very,very sinister plan. My only problem with Fallout 2 is that its extremely harder than the first game in the beginning you are completely naked armed only with a measly spear and you won't get a gun and much ammo until later in the game. Screwing over players who plays with gun using characters.

Both games have such decision making that can affect the epilogue of the game wether how much time you wasted, or did it in time, or you yourself screwed over this settlement in the wasteland.

I understand that Fallout Equestria is a well written story but damn. A. Now I can never look at Fallout the sameway again and B. what a waste of Fallout Story Writting on Ponies.

I have played shadowrun in all its incarnations (pen and paper rpg, super nintendo, and multiple pc games) and it actually is done really well. The history of it and the dystopia within the world makes them not as strangeShadowrun returnsether as one would think. Magic and cyberwear come accross more like enhancements in most ways. If you have seen the movie Johnny mnemonic staring Keanu Reaves, that world is essentially a copycat of shadowrun. Shadowrun returns is a unique world with some mechanics influenced by the original fallout games (1 & 2). Magic isn't a hokie wizard thing- it's a tool used by people to do certain things.
