foxworks: Well, thought it was time to whip out Fallout for the first time. Here we go!
Let me know how it is, I have never tried that one

I was worried for a second about what you wanted to whip out.
I'm finally understanding why people talked so much about Fallout: New Vegas' bugs, it's buggier than Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines!

Some bugs I've encountered
Important NCR troops abandoning their post to go wandering the wasteland
NPC that I was supposed to have one final dialogue with went missing
Geckos and Radscorpions getting completely stuck in the terrain
When being given armor I already own and am wearing it uses the exact same slot which means I can't repair my armor with the duplicate without dropping it, it doesn't even show that I have a duplicate
Using the Chainsaw with a follower behind me gives them damage
NCR troops I had to rescue began attacking me
Quest giving NCR troop immediately runs after our dialogue to fight a Legion troop who is really far away
Advice giving (possibly quest giving) NPC began attacking me for no reason while he was fighting gang members

Leucius: No new music for some time, but I posted a bunch of stuff for free up on bandcamp while I was away from GOG. If you're interested it's here: http://timsmidnightmile.bandcamp.com

Evening at Tim's is very sloppy, sorry about that one. Keep in mind I have schizo-affective disorder so my music isn't as polished as it could be, because I get very ADHD from the meds.
I would honestly say that your music is just fine sonically, not to mention good! The only thing that I can think of that I would change is that the lead is a bit too forward and punchy, nothing a little knob turning and a bit of reverb couldn't fix haha. Of course I'm "that" musician, you know the one, the one who tends to drown everything in reverb, flanger and of course a touch of delay.

Sort of an odd question but is Fallout: New Vegas supposed to be really easy on Normal difficulty? I'm tearing through the DLCs (about to finish Honest Hearts, already finished Old World Blues and Lonesome Road) and I've explored and cleared a lot of the lower 50% of the map and am about to go after Benny for the second time, and I'm not facing any real challenges.

Deathclaws were (emphasis on were) a problem but I can now take on several at a time without any issue and Super Mutants are super easy to beat. Entire camps/buildings of Raiders or Caesar's men might get me down to half health if I'm dumb. Plus I've gotten multiple skills maxed out, though the only skill I've buffed with perks is Melee. I did choose several perks that gave me DT bonuses though.

I'm currently using a Chainsaw as my main weapon, with a Shoulder Mounted Machine Gun and Riot Shotgun for ranged (and for a change of pace) attacks, and Riot Armor.

When I started the game I maxed out Strength and Luck, with Agility and Endurance close and both were quickly maxed out via the Special perk. Perception, Charisma and Intelligence were left alone and have only been boosted via skill books and implants. I focused exclusively on building Melee up to 100 for the first few levels but have since maxed out Guns, Lockpicking, and Science

So did I break the game with the my starting build and then break it further by maxing out Guns, or is it supposed to be that easy by default? I would bump up the difficulty but since it's a Obsidian developed Bethesda-ian game I would assume that it just bloats the enemy's health bars without giving them any new attacks or adding more of them or making them smarter.

I suppose there is one last little worthwhile update in my Gamestop and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion saga. I finally got a hold of Gamestop's customer support...after waiting (via chat window instead of phone, thank whatever higher being is looking this way) for two hours. Two hours. TWO HOURS. Just to be told by a rude customer service rep who didn't seem to be all that interested in learning about my problem, much less fixing it, that I needed to talk to Bethesda instead. No....no....I don't care enough about that mod to go back and forth between Bethesda and Gamestop. Nope.

If I ever see the Deluxe version of the GOTY edition of Oblivion on sale on Steam for five bucks then I might pick it up but for now I'm just going to pretend that the Gamestop App (and my Gamestop version of Oblivion GOTY Deluxe) doesn't exist, especially since I can play my ImpulseDriven/Gamestop version of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines just fine even with the Gamestop App uninstalled.
I don't quite feel like getting my head torn off, so I'll ask this here in the off chance that I'll get some help.

I'm giving Fallout 1 another try. I really like its atmosphere, the world building, the story and the characters, the dialogue itself, the attention to detail etc etc. I don't like its combat.

Oh sure, Fallout's turn based combat is much better than the average turn based combat game to me, but then again I loathe 99% of all turn based combat games, so it becomes a thing of "which hurts more, having your left ear bitten off by a horse or having your right ear bitten off by a horse?".

I'd like to complete Fallout 1 myself instead of watching a let's play or whatever, but I don't want to deal with the combat any more than I absolutely have to, so I'm wondering if there is an editor or an in-game cheat to at least bump my Action Points up to something ridiculous like 99?

Sadly there are no console commands in Fallout 1 or 2, you might be able to find a mod for it but I'm not sure.

Here's a wiki article: http://fallout.answers.wikia.com/wiki/Are_there_console_commands_for_Fallout_2

You will want to look for a fallout 1 trainer. It let's you modify lots of things. Don't modify stats above 10, though, cause the game only handles up to 10.

I can't verify anything on this link, so use its links atyour own discretion.

...and both of them are reminiscent of BillyMays59 - despite the lack of a Fallout connection.
Maybe that's what he's selling ;)

yes, but now he has the pied piper or something going on now, so my confusion is only limited to those two :)

For games like Fallout 4, it makes no sense to buy the vanilla because you know there's inevitably going to be an ultimate/goty edition, just knowing Bethsoft's track record.

EA games are notorious for DLC post-launch too, but they've recently started giving mini-expansions versus "DLC" (I liken DLC to the crap that should have been in the game on day 1) - such as with Dragon Age: Inquisition - yes, there's a couple DLC's that are basically item giveaways, but the two pricey ones are mini expansions, one taking place after the main quest is finished (Jaws of Hakkon) and one taking place about halfway through (The Descent (?) ) - These are worthy of carrying the "DLC" moniker imho because they do more than add a "Shortcut to Golden Weapon X for $5"

I still don't like the concept of DLC on principle, but we are a vastly underrepresented portion of the gaming population. These days, I only get DLC that I feel is deserving of my hard earned money, or I skip it, since most of it is rubbish anyway.

My Point: I agree.

yeeeeaaaahhh, I may have to break my "don't buy a thing until GOTY" when it comes to fallout 4. Now i'm not gonna buy it day of, I"m gonna hear the reviews, but yeah, i needs it. Bethesda has me under their spell. although I did wait for Skyrim...

Leucius: Well, if you DO buy FO4 at launch, no one will blame you. I'm betting it's going to be good :) Then again, I'm one of the people who played the originals (including Wasteland) and liked FO3. NV I never did finish, though I think I may reinstall it and see if the unofficial patch + Win 10 compatibility fixes got rid of the CTD's.
Speaking of Fallout.... IT'S BAAAAAACK!!!!! :D

Welcome to gOg, Bethsoft!

It's time to celebrate with a little Chimp Lite.... on the house! (I'm serving it in glass bottles so be sure to save the bottle caps!)

Crewdroog: it's a bitch, isn't it?
Actually it sounds pretty cool. Like all the things i liked in mass effect 1, but done first. thanks!

BillyMaysFan59: If you want fancier graphics look up The Ur Quan Masters HD. Looks a lot nicer, though you'll have to forgive a few glitches. (it's still in beta)
I play bethesda games, I'm used to glitches. and crashes. waa-waa
