The GOGWiki is a lovely little thing and its still eager for your contributions. Go to http://www.gogwiki.com/, setup your Barefoot Essentials and make your Wiki profile look as amazing as this!

While you're at it, learn how to install Uplink on Linux like a REAL hacker, learn the history of kinda figure out how to get Interstate '76 working.

The wiki needs you to contribute everything you know about GOG's glorious catalogue. All the workarounds, fixes, bugs and whatever else you've found. Does a game have a source port? GREAT! Talk about it.

The GOGWiki should become the one stop everyone makes before making their purchases here on GOG; "I want to buy Alpha Centauri, how well does it work on Windows 7? Can I play it on Mac? Will my Atomic Toaster be able to run it properly?"

What are you still here for? I want to know how to run Dungeon Keeper 2!

The community content/involvement of the GOG wiki is fantastic.

But here's the thing. I personally find it difficult to navigate.

Sure i could search for certain things, but is it possible to have a news section, latest games added etc.

On the main page it's got a facebook newsfeed, but that's no good for people without facebook.

When GOG was "hacked" (and the website was re-directed) if i want to find that, guess what, i can't find it.

It'd be nice if it was a bit more user friendly.

A news section would be nice, for sure... but we need people to maintain these pages :)

If you like, I can set up a news page and link it in the sidebar.

I tried to implement the RSS Feed from GOG to show up the latest news, unfortunately the RSS Feed is still messed up and the "post created" tag is always the same for each news item which makes it impossible to show these up correctly :(
The Barefoot Essentials app for Chrome is not working - Chrome have changed the way extensions work and you can now only download them from the chrome web store. Any chance of getting it on there so I can use it please?

I would also like it if there was a page that lists all of the games.

As for keeping the site maintained, i'd be happy to help, but you have to sign up to edit, and also i'd be afraid of making mistakes.

The SIgn up is essential, as we had to fight SpamBots a lot (no more Bots since the Sign up). Mistakes are no problem, when someone does see that some information is wrong, it can easily be deleted or corrected :)

And there is a page that lists all the games:
http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/Category:Games

If you scroll down the navigation bar, you can see a category tree, you can look for specific type of games using this tree ;)

I will get in contact with our Monkey and will try to sort it out :)

I think it could do with being higher up the main page, lol. I have never seen that category tree before.

It is not yet well placed, but will look into it, when I have a bit more time ;)

Chrome tells you how to fix it when you try to install it. You need to locate the .crx on your hard drive (it's probably in your Downloads folder), open chrome://extensions and drag the .crx from your hard drive on to the page. It's a dumb security measure, for sure.
