Well, I learned much later in life that Scooby Doo was a way to introduce musical bands into the industry; I'm not sure how they adulterated it these days, but probably not for the good.
My parents had a 2600 when I was born in '82, so it had to be something on that.

So what you're saying is that you were brought in as it's replacement.

The Atari 2600 took the world by storm, try playing a game on it now and you wouldn't like it so much after being spoiled. Some people have told me they haven't seen any great innovations in their lifetime, but I think they haven't been looking in the right place for them.

the nes was ground breaking too
the 2600 was a milestone but the nes brought scrolling more then 1 screen
color back ground
( better ) sound effects
music and story telling to the table
A little plug here:
I have that Activision Anthology Remix on CD Rom and it really is worth the cost. One of the unlockables is the old commercials. I forgot how bad those were. :P

You know, you can influence how that happens. I really wish they would stop making movie reboots and copying comic books. Doesn't anyone in Hollywood have a creative bone in their body these days?

The games from Japan were the best, Final Fantasy was a franchise that kept on going and going.... and like I said, Marrio Bros 3 was my favorite on that platform.

I imagine some of those are on YouTube.

no they dont
reboots and remakes are easier and saver

and i dont really go to the movies i wait for the dvd's

and the new evil dead was ...okay less of a remake more evil dead 4 since its the dark forces that move things so the same circumstances from 1 and 2 can happen again
the movie even shows it has happend before

it has issues but is okay

JDelekto: There were quite a lot of awesome games that came out in the 90's. Perfect timing for a gamer. :)
avatar
sreamer17ydr: Yes it was, the 90s was great and not just because I grew up that time, but because TV shows were better IMO, games were better. We had so many titles that were amazing in the 90s.
I don't think the 70's or 80's were worse, they were "progressive", hey we introduced to the smurfs, but the real underdog was the "Thundercats".

It was great up to the point that some jerk got arrested in a Lion-O costume. :(

Evil Dead II is the winner of the entire franchise, hands down (or off), most people recognize "Army of Darkness" since it went mainstream, but unless you followed the first to the second movie and saw how tongue-in-cheek the humor was (i.e. farewell to arms on top of the bin trapping the removed hand), you don't see the true direction the film maker wanted.

Pick up a good book or an old movie, like Bad Taste or Meet the Feebles by Peter Jackson, yes the same person who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. :)

My first game was River Raid()([url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmPjsBDN9Xw]Youtube) on the the Atari 2600. It was such an experience for me that I kept dreaming about it.
