Fallout 3 was made in 2008, any chance this can show up on GoG? This is one of those games I would just like to own without DRM and modernized for current systems. The current steam and disk versions have problems past windows 8 and higher. Anyway just wondering if we are ever getting this series on GoG.

Doubtful. Bethesda/Zenimax pulled the orignal three Fallouts off here and don't seem too inclined to bring any of their games here. They seem too enamored of Steam, actually.

very much unlikely
not only did bethesda pull the first 3 fallouts off here in 2013 interplay also gave them away on gog for free for a week as a final fuck you to bethesda

and bethesda seems to be quite enamored of steam these days

Plus they have their new platform don't they? I'm not up to date on it but I could imagine it being the lone home to non-Steam versions of their catalog.

I was lucky enough to grab 1, 2 and tactics before they yanked em. Eat a bag of dicks Bethesda.

Yes, good point. I imagine they'll force you to go that route on upcoming titles (and likely any back catalog they decide to peddle).

Who does?! Lots of stupid anger pointed at Bethesda. It's getting a little sad.

Well... Where there's smoke there's fire. :)

There's a bunch of reasons to be upset. For example:
1) Their parent company Zenimax avoids GOG
2) Zenimax also doesn't offer DRM-free option anywhere
3) Some people don't like Elder Scrolls series went MMORPG
4) Some people consider Bethesda releases buggy
5) Some people are upset at Bethesda for not-providing security fixes so they have to use community patches
6) A lot of people is upset at Bethesda for trying to cash in on community patches, fixes and content during recent paid mod Steam fiasco
7) Some people think there are already too many propriatry DRM platforms so a news of another one (or something similar to that) is pretty upsetting for them
8) Add your own...

9) some people need to get a life. :P

If the company could see the hateful comments on this forum, I wouldn't blame them for not putting the games here. I wouldn't seeing some of the shit people keep blabbering on about.

Well, I'll add a little more... :)

FUCK BETHESDA. And FUCK STEAM.

It feels so good to say that..... (FULL DISCLOSURE: Yes, Fallout 3/NV is my favorite game of all time, yes I purchased them on Steam... well Fallout NV on Steam... but I held off for years on doing it hoping it would send a message but no.... so FUCK BETHESDA and their decision to make these games Steam only... or Steam only and their new client only.... and FUCK STEAM.... just because...)

Well technically they're not Steam only. The disc of Fallout 3 only required GFWL to play but that can be patched out before you even launch the game.

Oh come on, this is nothing compared to what a lot of other companies get (especially considering we're still very much in the wake of the paid mods freakout) on a much regular basis.

The real question is... why is it you only care when it's poor little Bethesda being questioned or flamed? Lately you seem ready and willing to march to the defense of Bethesda regardless of what the actual criticism of them is...

But hey, what do I know? I'm just a nostalgic fanboy...despite only having a few hours in the first Fallout! Ha...
