I want great graphics as well as great gameplay . I hate this retro crap 8 bit stuff and the old excuse of gameplay over graphics .. had an old nes dont want to go backwards I still have a couple of old 3Dfx cards in the closet with the pass through cables no way I am hooking those babies up , if the graphics are crap forget it gimmee killer graphics AND killer gameplay why does it have to be one or the other its the 21st century most home PCs are more powerful than the old mainframes were..ok Im bored I admit it

'Killer' AAA graphics have become so prohibitively expensive that all but only a few publishers have the girth to produces them. They aren't willing (or able) to gamble on new ideas and rely on the same tried and tested solutions resulting in gorgeous yet, samey games. There are enough people ok with this paradigm to give us the umpteen million Ass Creeds and CoDs that we have today.

I mean some people have to be buying these things so, they have to be subjectively good to someone.


I personally can't have my cake and eat it too but, that's ok because I prefer pie :]

Best of both worlds and cheap.

While true to an extent but speaking for myself I probably already played it back then ...The recent remakes of baldurs gate and Icewind Dale are not really getting the best reviews Pie with ice cream trumps

Pie with ice cream is considered an exploit, anyone caught using the Pie with ice cream hack will be reported to VAC.

Wait wait wait is it an exploit or a hack? an exploit just takes advantage of the games system while a hack gnererally introduces new code :<)

I do not mind if the graphics look five or ten years old, but when you use looking 25 years old as a selling point I start to lose interest.
