MikeMaximus: Does buying games that aren't currently on sale during the promo count towards the bonus games? For instance, if I buy some of the new Star Trek games that are not on sale.
Every purchase you make during the summer sale seems to count. Check the banner on the front page and click on "How does this thing work?"; it's explained there.

Just wanted to be sure as it's not really crystal clear on that subject. Thanks :)

HornyRhino: snip
As usual, the prices for about 90% of the games here (for all territories, except for Russia/CIS regions) are reliant on the currency exchange rate between the dollar and said specific currency. Should said currency become stronger against the dollar, the local price will fall, but if it becomes weaker, it will rise. Since the british sterling became a bit stronger in the recent months, the corresponding local prices fell.

As for the discrepancy in the final numbers of the discounts, that's easy to explain; GOG likes to round up or down to the nearest .9. Thus, if a game costs, say, €14.99 and GOG offers a 75% discount, that would normally equal to about €3.75, but since GOG likes rounding up/down, the price ends up being €3.79.

Got it!

Thank you very much for your generosity. I have never played a game of the STALKER series before, so I am really excited!

Best regards

You're welcome. I own all the STALKER games here on GOG, but never found the time to play them until now... [note to myself: play STALKER soon] ;-)
I bought the Descent and Freespace games 4 days ago during the Interplay Intensifies promo for 60% off. Today they're 75% off. Does anyone know if GOG will let me refund the purchase from four days ago or just "price match" the difference? I haven't downloaded any of the files.

Like I said to you here before, since you haven't downloaded any of the files, you have 30 days ever since purchase to ask from GOG to refund you the price for those specific games. You could also ask them if it would be possible to refund you just the difference, though.

I bought the Descent games as well however i have installed Descent 1 though but it's still very irritating. Usually GOG doesn't have sales of the same games this closed to each other, i've never seen them do that here.

I just didn't know as the refund FAQ states it's for games with technical issues. Since this is a matter of pricing I didn't see anything officially posted about it. I've sent an email to them.

From GOG's user agreement:

Withdrawal Right: we give you the right to withdraw from a purchase of GOG content without charge and for any reason within 30 days after you bought that GOG content, IF it has not been downloaded, streamed, activated or used in any way before then. If any of those things happen then your withdrawal right is lost..

Oh! Thank you! You've been very helpful. :)

I just requested a partial refund to price match the current sale. I want to keep the games so I explained the partial would be preferable to refunding the entire sale and purchasing them back. Since you're wanting to keep them as well it couldn't hurt to ask if they'd price match. You aren't requesting a full refund and order cancellation so you never know. They may just do it. :)

And it is a bit odd for them to do this. All the other Interplay games this sale have maintained the same 60% discount as the weekend promo so I didn't see any harm with it.
If it hasnt been pointed out already, neither Ark Fatalis nor Shovel Knight (neither dev wants the extra exposure or $$$ no matter the amount???) are on sale... yet again
