I asked this in the Borderlands forum, but me thinks no one has seen it. I would like to get an answer before the sale ends.

Does Tales From the Borderlands require the installation of Apple's QuickTime to play the game?

I have no intent to install it, so I would dearly like to know for sure.

Thanks

I can run it without QuickTime installed, so I would say yes?

By the way, is it a good game and worth the purchase?

I haven't really started playing it yet (that is, take control of my character and not just watch the cutscenes), so I can't answer that.

If you like that style of game, then it's very worth it. Tales from the Borderlands is probably Telltale's best story/game offering so far. If you played their other games, like the Walking Dead one, or played D4 (not Telltale, but similar style), and you enjoyed them, then grab TftB. Only takes maybe three hours to finish (four if you spend time looking at the background stuff), but it's a fun three hours.

I'd say that in most Telltale games the "cutscenes" are when you actually take control. That being said, Tales from the Borderlands is an absolutely fantastic game, or interactive movie, or call it what you will, and a well-written addition to the Borderlands universe. I loved every second.

When I said cutscenes, I meant the intro video. :P
Not all the following in-game graphics stuff where you choose your replies.

I figured, but I wanted to joke about Telltales. :) Still, wasn't joking about how good the game is. IMHO at least.

Also for future reference, be aware that quick time event (QTE) games do not imply use of Apple's QuickTime. It's just a similarity in names. See here.

Thank you very much, that is a help. I did get concerned when I saw the quick time. I have no use for software that never allows you to uninstall it!
