Almost lost a 2 hour level :P I grabbed 'Kingdom : New Lands' yesterday and got a bit hooked.

I just survived the third level by the skin of my teeth: There are 5 enemy portals total and I wanted to see what happens when you destroy all 5. Problem is, after you destroy each one the enemy retaliates with a massive force through the remaining portals, severely damaging your defenses. Then it is a slow rebuild to get ready to destroy the next portal.
As I was rebuilding and preparing for the final portal winter came and with it all my crops died. That left me without a source of income, which turned out to be a critical error on my part since I only had 9 gold left but needed 10 to board my ship and advance to the next level.
Luckily I noticed that a few deer still remained in the forests and I still had enough gold to switch mounts to a massive stag which charms other deer. In winter even the deer disappear after a while, but luckily I managed to find 5 on my way back to the ship where my archers could kill them for a few extra gold.

That game looks and sounds rather interesting, I must have missed when that got released.

As for me I finally hit a new milestone in Darkest Dungeon, I just picked up the DLC during the sale.

When Ultima 3 glitches in a way that makes the final battles much easier (major spoiler in the attached image, as it shows one of the final battles):

Hmm. I just realised that Scanner Sombre seems to work pretty well with Chromadepth glasses, or at least the screenshots and videos look pretty cool through them.

That's interesting! The coloring scheme is exactly the same, indeed. It should work. In my case, without the glasses, it was necessary to interpret the colors in my own brain - would be nice to get 3D directly ;)

Rayne is just about to do a sucker move (kill an unarmed human soldier). Bloody monster she is but I guess it takes one to kill a huge bunch of them.

Kingdom Come : New Lands
- attacking a cliff portal
- constructed two portals to help me move around
- traveling to the pier with a few knights to start the 4th island

But this time I'm going to backup the save folder, wherever it might be. I don't intend to suffer a cheap death on the 4th island again only to have to start all over again :P
(not that I have to start over technically: I can restart the island I died on, but without my force of knights from the 2nd and 3rd island)
