One unbelievable bit of new information someone sent to me. Not much shocks me about lugum but this totally did.
He's actually been using Steam for 6 years!

Momo it's disappointing you too make random and at some places untrue accusations, even more so publically without even trying to hear my side first.

1) That there is true, i have been banned at GOG 1 year for that, i never condoned it, i was wrong and i did my time and i am 100% not doing it anymore.
I always told several people honestly why (the real reason not a "misunderstanding".) That's its gonna be smeared out publically while this isn't even part of any of the other stuff, it's a bit low.

2) I never made money out of steamcards (i still have them and you can see them if you want to prove it) nor i ever will bother with selling them, in fact one day the opposite i might even buy them to complete sets. Beside noone will ever get rich out of them if they sell for like 5-10 cents. Also I bought a small amount with tremor coins to complete a few sets, And in a very rare occasion it just happens i traded 7 games with those cards just the last 3 days.

3) I did not had a meltdown because i lost, i was angry at sachys because we had a deal (and yes i understand it's the nasty giveaway) but he was drunk (as he was/is alot of times) but he redeemed 1 game by mistake which he wasn't allowed (because wmpegg gave him the full code) on top of Moebius. He even said to me after it, it gave him some arrousal (like in a sexual way) That was all put under the rug by both of them.
Then Sachys gave Corsairs away (because he had 1 spare from a bundle) but rather him offering to me first because we were working together he put it up for everyone in that thread, he also offered me to enter, i refused and nothing really else was there to it.
However i did say to him he should drink a bit less if he does stupid things like that (it was because i cared for him), that's the reason he had blocked me right away.

4) I didn't really came there much anymore so i did indeed not know the rules Momo, and crappy game while the reviews give it a 8.4 how come? At the moment it was all i could do, and it was also better then nothing and atleast i tried to resolve things there, what else you expected me to do there.

*) And for that one certain person; A Referal link is something like thissite.com/urlrefer=lugum that would be a referal link not posting your username. So yes that on steamgifts was absolutely false.

*) The main reason i have such an "alarming" rate of games at steam is because of alot of old bundles i have checked, even a bunch of games i put in the ninja thread had been suprisingly unredeemed, desura itself gives alot of steam keys too but the most important part is tremor. i am lucky enough to have a certain offer from a casino that gives alot of coins thus yes i can buy alot (over 400) of games from my coins too, and yes i keep in mind selecting games there that they also have cards. That means i am not scamming or even sitting here all day ninjaing alot of games silently, i dont have bots or anything, that is never me and never will be.

Have i taken/won a bunch of games here? Yes am not denying that but what i said before i have also given alot in the past (there is a big list i once did for momo's giveaway and it even has grown alot larger) I believe in karma, you give something, and sometimes you take something. Note there is a whole bunch here that only takes and never gives anything back. With giveaways, everyone has always a fair chance to win equally.
My ratio on steam of games played is indeed low at the moment, but i (or with my family i share) will play all games and i still do, and mostly i do at the moment play the games given to me, the ones i got myself from older bundles, trading and tremor those i let keep waiting and that's why my completion rate is so low at this point. Also my achievements OCD kicked in meaning i have to replay Last Dream several times to get everything else i could have moved on to having completed 3 others already.
I also switch playing between 30 games, so that also means to finish one it takes a bit longer then 1 game at a time. That number also means not completed, doesn't say i never even played them.

The only point you were 100% right is at point 1 momo, i even offered you a game you were looking for at one point but you also decided to never bother speaking to me again too. And i feel bad you too joined teshra (and perhaps some others) in their witchhunt. He never came up with proof of anything (he just goes "you provide proof that it isnt", not just with me but alot of others here) Isn't there something to say when usually my profile is set to private the minute it's not, he came with this, he must spend alot of time just waiting on it or he has something programmed. The same way there is a downrep bot programmed, and lately an uprep bot too.
But Momo If you have proof to claim that any of your points are valid beside the first (which i am honest about) then please give them, if not it leaves you something to think about, and perhaps you also have to look at a bit at yourself.

I know i am not without errors, and i learn from there, i already cut back on entering alot of giveaways already then i would have had, but i am really sick and hurt with those accusations and witchhunts ones of points that are completely unfounded. I am always open for open discussions, but for certain other people to just say "i am right because i just say so and if not you proof it", there is just absolutely no reasoning with that.

I have never said that everyone, I told about 10 people the real reason, if you don't believe me but rather him, then fine. It's known all over the forum he is out to get anyone, even people like sachys and tinye. If i could have remembered all the names i would have even given them to you so you could ask each and everyone of them. Mrtophat i told (who is gone) and Thespian but you think they might be biased because i know them well. But some that don't know me well knew too, i believe Trid was also one of them.
Maybe i said to 1 person a "misunderstanding" simply because i didnt believe that person needed to care, not saying it is true not saying it isnt, i just cant remember, so i say maybe.

I am not wanting this to turn into a whole discussion either, nor will i do that here and as you say to take things to pm (which should have just been done in the first place) but since certain chosen to put it here publically i atleast had 1 reply to defend to some of the stuff.

Now that you've posted yet another incomprehensible wall of text to my PM, ended it with "Don't bother replying to me or on the forum, i am done with it.", and blocked me yet again, allow me to say this once and for all...

You are a user, lugum. You see absolutely nothing wrong with any of your actions and instead, like a small child, blame others for your direct actions that cause you to not get what you want, that cause you to not get jobs, that cause you to not have a valid, fulfilling love life...

Here's my message to you in case my failure to engage with you for months now was not clear... stop contacting me. I don't want to hear from you. I have spent way, way, way too many hours trying to counsel you in your personal life, your professional life and even your love life (teshra didn't lie). You don't want advice. You want people to feel sorry for you and give you free games... You don't want to work, you want people to excuse you so that you can do whatever the fuck you want all day. You don't want real relationships that require give and take - basic work, you want to get the benefit of these relationships without lifting a finger...

But see here's the thing.. I got that you had issues - most of us do. I got that you needed to grow - most of us do. I even got that you'd been banned for a pretty serious infraction but I still felt like you deserved a second chance... - most of us do. But when you got that second chance you began to once again behave badly.... even to me - one of your best allies.

And that I can't forgive... that frightens me more than the "gift trolls" because I felt like I had a real investment in you and you happily, blithely, in a complete 'I have no idea why you'd be mad at me" way acted in a manner that anyone your age would never consider acting...

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to write here but have a few things I'd like to say. The short version is - I left all the GOG groups today on Steam and Steamgifts in order to continue to enjoy my interactions on these forums and wanted to comment on how people are milking the generosity here in order to get AAA games on Steam using trading cards after spending over a month researching and testing a theory.

Firstly, thank you very much to all the generous people I have met on these forums whose generosity inspired myself and MunkiSiren to give away over 500 games from various distributors via a number of means, including Steamgifts(a mere 33 via that method but it is my favourite number). The majority of those (80%) have been Steam and Desura codes from bundles but we have managed to give away 92 GOG gifts(possibly more but I'm not checking MunkiSiren's account, and the $ value is finally greater than that from Steam and Desura - yay I love what this site represents and GOG you've got my support always!). I've contacted 284 people on GOG(via PM) since I started participating in the forums, and the majority of those have been in relation to gifts. I've had countless enjoyable interactions that involve all manner of silliness, seriousness and everything inbetween. I've met some wonderful people on here and have been greatly surprised by this community. I've also managed to win 12 gifts on Steamgifts(from 2844 entries - can you tell I like numbers and statistics? :P), and a decent amount(hard to estimate but perhaps 30-40?) through the generosity of those on these forums.

I currently own 846 games on Steam, 244 on GOG, 240 on Desura and a couple of hundred across various other distribution sites. Many of these overlap and I've changed my mindset about which platforms I support and to what extent. My preference is GOG always now if I can afford. "Afford it Tarnicus? You must be rich having such a huge gaming collection!" No, I am far from financially wealthy(I get a disability pension) but I am an avid collector of games. They are one of my favourite mediums for storytelling :) I sold and gave away everything I owned in 2010 when I became homeless, including my much treasured gaming collection which I gave to one friend, valued at...i dunno but I spent thousands on them when I was younger and was able to work and function more adequately in this society.

So there are my "credentials" for those who don't know me or would like to see a fuller picture of who I am in relation to GOG, gifting and hoarding games before I comment on the subject of gifting, hoarding, leeching, scamming, etc. I was going to stay out of this completely and keep my conversations to PM, as I have been doing but feel that a couple of things should be said.

I left the GOG groups I was part of today after reading what was going on here. I've stopped gifting openly(again! lol) on GOG as I am unable to do so without coming into contact with people that I have no desire, time or energy to give second or third chances to. Oh what I would pay for a block function that enables myself and the person blocked(either could initiate) to NEVER have any contact publicly or privately with each other!!

We all have our own moral and ethical codes. Humans haven't been able to agree on what these are universally but there is an element of "universal or natural law" that comes into play for what feels right. It is basic energy reciprocation. I.e, that each of us both send and receive energy to varying degrees. I know that I am definitely guilty of not reciprocating a lot of the energy(love) that has come my way, and I have tried my best to learn and grow from those experiences, and I'm sure I've got a long way to go. I try and that is all one can do wherever one is in life's journey.

With that said, I am not going to comment on any individuals here regarding their actions(I've done that enough already) but rather wish to share what I have found through extensive research and testing regarding Steam card trading and how leechers and scammers are turning games they don't want or use in order to get ones that they do. (emphasis required due to my verbosity)

I have noticed that there are people here who take any and every game they can find, regardless of the genre, and seem especially interested in any with Steam cards. So after building a collection of games and never even looking into the trading card system, I started to wonder why it was that some of the most notorious scammers and leechers on GOG have amazingly positive rep on sites like Steamtrades and Steam in general. That didn't make sense to me. Why be an arsehole on one hand an apparently trustworthy on another? Simple...to get what one actually wants, regardless of how.

Statistic: I sold my first Steam trading card on June 27th. 42 days later(<3 you Douglas Adams) I have made $81.86, enough to pre-order The Witcher 3 if I wished to!

I won't go into the details of how to maximise one's trading potential(you can make a PROFIT from game bundles with cards or at the very least get some amazing discounts) but if anyone out there wishes to employ someone who can work from a computer with brilliant pattern recognition skills who manipulates markets in every MMORPG I have played to become rich, and do so without continuing the harm this beautiful planet and our own species, please contact me! (such a thing is currently impossible with my moral code even though I've been offered money by others to invest before)

It works basically like this:

1/ Grab any and every game you can, regardless of if it is Steam or Desura. Huh Steam cards from Desura games? Yup as almost everything these days is being Greenlit, and as a result those who purchased(stole/leeched/etc) the game elsewhere often eventually get a Steam code. Those currently without cards have a good chance of cards being added later, as both Valve and the developers/publishers of the game make money from the system.

2/ Don't forget the obligatory hollow "Thank you!" with little to no further interaction afterwards(unless it has to do with getting stuff from you) in order to appear as a grateful person. If anyone has watched the evolution of scammers or leechers on this site, it is exactly the same as I have seen in other aspects of life. A little ego massage goes a long way as the gifter feels good. Actions speak louder than words to me and that is one of the most valuable lessons life has taught me.

3/ Cards are then sold or traded for other games.

4/ Steam cash is then used to purchase high demand games when heavily discounted. The value of picking up say Skyrim Legendary edition for $17 (depending upon regional pricing) is AAA trading gold to get a lot of games from. This goes both ways, where people will amass AA games (or Indie games which are increasingly popular) to trade for AAA games on Steamtrades or privately.

Pretty much everything else has been addressed but I would like to add to the chorus of "please if you are gifting to share your love of gaming and to help those who will appreciate your generosity, be wise about it!" It is a shame that this is happening on GOG as it drives people away, makes them cynical and stops the wonderful sentiment of paying it forward in life.

Dear momo, indeed in the past you have listened to me even though they were brief, you told me my ways on how i acted to certain people here on the forum who did not followed the rules. I disagreed on a few points with you and there you decided not to talk to me anymore because you only wanted to convince me and even made a "deal" to do so, i believe it was about your rep squad, if i didn't comply you would not help me anymore.

Calling yourself my therapist or mother that is really exaggerating as by far we never talked every day let alone every month, i have only talked about a certain deep issue just once, and only a few pm's.
And you again make all sorts of hurtful accusations about me, so called sitting around here all day (i am not), being immature, not wanting to work etc while you know that isnt true and you are infact in the same situation so how can you even say that? f.e you know how i got screwed over by a so called promised internship/job which i had learned for and took months. And i still get duped by companies, but that's the tendency of these days that people are throw away objects.
On the outside you really come across the nice lady, but stuff like this i have gotten to learn too that this is an other side to you as well.

Teshra does lie and you can't come with any proof to back it up instead you throw in more random accusations like he does, if you have proof just come up with that, negate any of the posts i had atleast proof for that it wasnt true if not then take it back, i only said in pm to you to not be self righteous and take a good look at yourself telling other people not to do certain things when you are in fact no hair better if you, telling others what to do, make baseless accusations and not even throwing proof up, that's not really creepy, with that you also make people think like i would have said i'd hurt you or something, i absolutely did not.
Also the only other thing i said you said in your other post you would made your post reluctantly, but from what you are all still saying, i dont believe it was. And that you added to a witch hunt on me, which you did. That's all.

After that i only said i was done with you and that's why i blocked you, and it was requested even by liquid to not take it here any further, but you did. if you really wanted to have left it alone you wouldn't have had, i wish you did.

Btw on a sidenote talking about proof, i have attached a screenshot on to where a majority of my games came from Tremor.
Currently $4638 worth (though that number is just what tremor thinks it's worth offcourse), and depending on the games you pick it could have been more (or less), which included GOG, Desura, Steam, Cards (which actually are costing me to gain levels), TF2 items, Many gifts for here.
But you get the gist, those are the steam ones i save for a rainy day (or cards), those i have received in giveaways i am as said playing right now.
I would also have posted that list from one of momo's giveaways, of the many links i have given games and been helpful in other ways (only a few specifically have been donations like the xmas one), but i can't find the link anymore.

Let's not continue this further then momo if you dont want too either, nor liquidsnake nor me.

I'd like to add that given the context of what I wrote regarding Steam cards and how scammers and leechers profit from them, that it might appear that I am insinuating that lugum is doing this or that my research and investigation involved him. It did not whatsoever, and as I said I am not naming anyone but trying to illustrate that Steam trading cards and trading gifts is indeed big business and not "nothing" as suggested in this thread.

Hello all despite my warnings it has come to my notice that some members are excessively leeching the group without making any contributions back , when we mean excessive leeching it is for old members(6 months or later) who have won more than 10 giveaways here but has made zero contributions back or provided any reason as to why they have not.

I found one member who had extremely crossed this threshold and he has been permanently removed. The rules in the gift club clearly warns against such actions, i request all members to read the rules once more and correct themselves if they fall under it.
If you have been reported by someone you will be investigated and removed.

I will push the rules as a notice for all current group members so they read it once, since the gog post here cant be updated.
