In for Ancestor's Legacy, under number 73
hmm 37 and 73 ... back in my days when i was exploring new age spirituality that would have been surely called a sign!
not sure what her name was again but i belief there was this Lady who learned from her guiding angels what the explanation from some of the numbers is we can see on a daily basis, she even wrote a couple of good selling books about it .... girls will be girls i guess ;-) Not to mention the importance of numbers in the bible .....but enough of that

What say thee oh divine number generator ???

43, 70, 17, 11 and the final number 64!

well this been a close call with 70 coming very close to 73 but being beaten by 11 for 13 ( talk about numbers !!! ) with a difference of 2

EdwinChezter wins this contest and goes home with the last game of the evening

Congratulations with your victory EdwinChezter i don't hope your game goes diabolic in any way :-p

Once again, to everyone...

Radiance1979:
If you will allow me an observation, I think this method you used isn't adequate. If I understood it correctly it eschews the chances away from some participants. I'm not saying that to whine for not winning, I'm perfectly okay with that. If anything I'm happy for EdwinChezter. But I'm certain you'd want your every giveaway to be as fair as possible.

Let's assume a slightly different scenario: just one draw (to make it simpler), three participants and votes between 1 and 100. And they choose the numbers 20, 40 and 60.

If you don't trim the edges the 60 guy clearly has a hell of an advantage. All 40 numbers above 60 are his. In this case the winning ranges are :
Participant A wins with [1 - 30]
participant B with [31 - 50] and
C with [51 - 100] .
So their chances are 30%, 20% and 50%. B is in the worse spot. It is already unfair.

However, when you exclude the outer margins you eschew this imbalance to the opposite extreme. If random.org has to decide between 20 and 60 the new winning ranges are:
A with [20 - 29],
( 30 is unclear if it will award A or B),
B with [31 - 49],
(50 is also unclear between B and C), and
C with [51 - 60].
As you can see, A has 10 winning numbers in its range, B has 18 and C has 10. Let's ignore 30 and 50 to make it simpler. So their chances are 26,3%, 47,3% and 26,3%.

Moral of the story: you need a better algorithm to decide your winners :)

Anyway, thanks for the giveaway and I'm glad for the chance to win

A with [20 - 30],
B with [31 - 50] and
C with [51 - 60].
As you can see, A has 11 winning numbers in its range (which we're gonna pretend are 10 just to make it simpler) , B has 20 and C has 10. So their chances are 25%, 50% and 25%.

Moral of the story: you need a better algorithm to decide your winners :)

Anyway, thanks for the giveaway and I'm glad for the chance to win
this is an fairly interesting observation. personally i worked from the standpoint that with 5 draws any number would have as much chance as appearing as any of the numbers would but yea now you say this you do indeed would think there is a bigger chance for any of the middle numbers with the biggest range of winning then there is with numbers lying on the outer edge, i will disclose that during the contest i did increase the outer limits with +10 but again, for the next giveaway i'm planning ( though its not that i plan anything there just happens to be points when i decide on buying a bundle ) i will certainly consider other more equal ways of deciding a winner

point of fact i do like to try out different mechanismes such as the first come first serve ... or with what i did with the previous give away what in essence turned out to be who would show the most interesting tale for a game judged by yours truly ... so not sure what the next time will bring!

Thank you for your feedback

Of course. I appreciate your attempts to reduce the imbalance and I admit that the fact you draw 5 times helps a lot. For example in my first example even if participant C has a bigger range it is very unlikely that all 5 picks are above 60, so that bigger range doesn't become that useful after all. ANY big range loses most of its edge against several picks.

I didn't do the math but due to those factors I'd guess in the end the actual chances were far closer to 49% vs 52%, if that much.
