I would never thought that but I just bought Deponia Doomsday on steam and it is in fact playable without having steam running after it has been installed!

Good to know. I get my "Computer Bild Spiele Platin Ausgabe" tomorrow with the Steamkey for Deponia 4.

That is exactly how I did get the game so this version will work without steam. Hopefully you have a good source for the CBSP because I had to search several stores today until I found a copy.

Im dem Kiosk, wo ich die Zeitschrift kaufen wollte, gab es sie natürlich nicht. Der Betreiber (1-Mann-Laden) konnte aber für mich telefonisch eine Ausgabe von einem Kollegen (anderer Laden) auftreiben, die ich morgen abholen kann. Kann es kaum noch erwarten. ;)

Lustig, ich war heute vor der Arbeit beim Kiosk und habe 5 Ausgaben gesehen. Wollte die Zeitschrift aber nicht zur Arbeit schleppen und Nachmittags war alles leer inkl. der Buchhandlung und 2 weiteren Kiosken - hab dann noch eine in einem versteckten Kiosk im EKZ gefunden. Scheint wirklich begehrt zu sein. Schon nach den ersten Minuten im Spiel kann ich das auch gut verstehen. Als offensichtlicher Deponia Fan (avatar) bist du dir ja sicher bewusst, dass das Ende von Goodbye Deponia bei vielen absolut nicht gut angekommen ist und über diese Tatsache macht sich Poki schon ganz am Anfang auf seine eigene Art udn Weise und mit dem gewohnten philosophischen Hintergrund lustig. Ich werde das Spiel gaaaanz langsam genießen - wie ein gutes Menü :) Hoffentlich klappt das mit deiner Bestellung und dann wünsche ich dir viel Spaß. Kleiner Hinweis noch: das Tutorial ist dieses Mal nicht lustig, sndern nur ein mit Hinweistexten versorgter walkthrough der ersten Rätsel - ich würde es aus lassen, auch, wenn du die aus Deponia geliebt haben solltest.

Pretty sure that Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux can be run without steam. I haven't tried it on Windows but copy/paste the game from a linux to another and it'll run just fine without asking for steam.

Not sure if it is mentioned, but GemCraft: Chasing Shadows is DRM free.

The folder of the game is on is called "UntitledApp" ...

Holy crap, really? I've tried them in both Windows AND Linux, and I don't think either one of them worked for me. Maybe there was an update?

I only have the "non-redux" versions on steam and they don't work. Maybe that is the reason?

Okay, the list is updated again, but I absolutely can't get the Metro Redux games working without Steam in Linux. Did you just copy it from one machine to another, and it worked? Maybe it's because there are leftover files when I try to run it without Steam on the same machine? I'd love to know how to do this, since it unfortunately seems like GOG isn't going to get the Linux versions.

Steamworld Dig can be run without steam if you use this little trick which the devs themselves have suggested here:
