Please on my knees, add this game to the store. I will totally buy it! =) I just love it and miss it very very much! :>
It's way too broken to run on anything made less that ten years ago.

Unfortunately YES.

I have the disc and have tried over and over and over and over. I have attempted every fan made patch and LA recommend there is, plus a few of my own.

It seems one in fifty owners of the game can strike gold but for the rest of us it's a lost cause.

To be fair, didn't they say the same thing about Outlaws? But now GOG has it. :P

XD If you think you can find a reliable fix for Racer be my guest. :P

It is hands down the greatest racing game ever and I have searched to the ends of the Earth for a solution. Perhaps you can find something beyond the ends of the Earth.

Maybe you could try getting on your hands the Dreamcast version of the game and use it with an emulator, or buy a secondhand console in case there are any legal problems by using an emulator.

1. GOG rarely, if ever, reads the forum.
2. There's a Wishlist feature for getting games added on here.

I've only played the N64 version, but I've always wanted to try the PC version. I've read a lot of good things about it! Plus the wishlist has over 4,800 votes, so hopefully GOG will tell LucasArts/Disney to hurry up with the game! :P

May need to grab another version of the InstallShield installer since the one included on CD is 16-bit. Now to get the game to work, grab dgVoodoo 2 for graphics. Make sure to grab all the Direct3D related files and place the executable on the main directory.

dgVoodoo2: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2.html

Now, IPX can be enabled by grabbing the IPX Wrapper. I tested it and have gotten IPX to work (though I haven't tried with other players yet) with it.

IPX Wrapper: http://www.solemnwarning.net/ipxwrapper/

This game has had issues since Windows Vista (especially GFX related).

For the installer, they have one on here: http://www.reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=90351 (May want to copy all the files from CD to install before using the 32-bit installer.)

I don't suppose I could hire you to come over and do all that crap for me. :P

tinyE: My baby won't run :C
Solution 1: Get off your lazy ass and try Bandock's guide already.

Solution 2: Buy an old computer or the parts to build one on Ebay. Surely the Holy Grail of racing games deserves the effort?

Solution 3: Sell the game to me. (This is of course the best of solutions. :P)

Runs fine on my system.
