I love Star Wars DroidWorks. When this game comes out, I will give away any $5.99 game on GOG or Droidworks, whichever is the preference of the winner.

No real requirements. Tell me about some cool robot if you want! I love Johnny Five from Short Circut!

Edit May 4th 2022: it's been almost 7 years and my career has progressed. I'll give away 2 copies of DroidWorks or two $10 games, whichever is the preference of the winners.

Since Johnny 5 is already taken, how about WALL-E? WALL-E seemed to be very inspired by Johnny 5 with the telescopic eyes and tank-tread "legs!"
I am in, thanks.

790, the lovestruck robot head from Lexx is pretty amusing.
Sure, I'll join the party, but I have a feeling this game isn't right around the corner (prove me wrong GOG).
Thanks for the giveaway, Celton88.

Anyone remembers this funny/annoying metal dude? :)
I'll be in!

I always have a soft spot for Bomb 20. Anyone remember Bomb 20?

Another interesting robot is HK-47, from the KOTOR series.
I'm in. I watched a lot of Lost in Space when I was young, there was always the Robot (had no name). Danger Will Robinson, Danger! The Wikipedia entry says its a Class M-3 Model B9, General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot.

Not in, but +1!
sure i am in

i am a transformers fan i have been one for as long as i can remember

and the most remarkable thing about this franchise is that it literally transforms
it reinvents itself every few years

it went from G1 to G2
to beast wars ( cgi and mature story telling )
to beast machines ( mature story telling better cgi character arcs one 26 episode story line megatron almost wins )
to armada ( some what of a step down )
to energon ( worst tf series bar none not even rid or bayformers are this awfull )
to cybertron
to animated ( back to form )
to prime

and so much more
there have been hundereds of comics and nearly 250 IDW comics
114 marvel comics
332 marvel UK comics ( still the best tf comics series with only mtme coming close )
around 50 dremwave comics ( we dont speak of those )
and who knows how many japanese manga's

there is a whole japanese continuity ( with varying degrees of good ( headmasters ) decent ( masterforce which is transfromers in name only its more a mecha show where the mecha happen to be transformers ) awfull ( victory ) and abysmal ( kiss players and the japanese dubs of beast wars and machines )

currently there is something for everybody

the bayformers movies for the casual fans and movie goers

the toys and transformers prime and RID and movie comics for the kids

alternators masterpiece generation toylines and the IDW comics more then meets the eye and the transformers for the long time fans for me

and the die hard fans ( also like me ) will have them all

i can go on and on and on and on about transformers
but i wont i merley implore anybody who read this to go out an dbuy more then meets the eye
start with v1
its worth it

and my favorite transformer is not the likes of optimus prime or bumblebee ( sick of bumblebee actually ) or megatron or soundwave or starscream ( i hate startscream with a passion ^^ )
but instead the likes of blades
first aid ( on the strength of a single cartoon episode )
cheetor
rat trap
optimus primal ( different optimus )
nightbeat
swerve
smokescreen
bluestreak

and
and

ill stop right here

i feel the need to read transformers

Love the game and my favorite robot is Gigantor!

Robot-, SW-, Lucas-related fun facts:

In the German version of the Star Wars prequel trilogy (and "Clone Wars", "The Clone Wars" as well as "Rebels"), C-3PO got the same German voice actor as Johnny 5, Wolfgang Ziffer. In the original trilogy (and the "LEGO Movie") 3PO was voiced by Joachim Tennstedt, who got to voice the golden robot again in the audio drama version of the Timothy Zahn trilogy, released from 2012-2014. Tennstedt also voiced several of the Stormtroopers in the first "Star Wars". Wolfgang Ziffer on the other hand was heard as Wicket the Ewok in the German version of "Caravan of Courage" as well as Rool in "Willow".

I hope Droidworks makes it here and I'd also like to see Pit droids released on gog. I haven't spend much time with Droidworks as I had trouble running it but I did play Pit droids a lot and it was pretty fun.

As for the favourite robots I liked 790 in the first and second season of Lexx, after that he just got annoying.
It's hard to top Johnny 5.

A close second for me would be Prometheus from Chrono Trigger. I usually don't care much for robots, but he was a pretty awesome and loyal companion.
