There's a thread on the Forspoken Steam forum suggesting a GOG release (Denuvo would of course have to be removed), because of the low sales and 100 mil budget. (I know it wouldn't be any more well-received here, but it is a AAA mainstream title and maybe a few more Squeenix games could come with it)

A PITA I can't post a link here but it is on the first page of that forum

Indeed...we don't need SE's trash-tier games like Forspoken.

We do, however, need their good stuff, like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

I'd accept their "trash-tier" games if we got some of their good stuff with it.

Waifu4Life: Why are we still calling them SquareEnix games? I never called them that (called them EIDOS games), but anyway, these IPs got sold to another company.
Because they are still published by Square-Enix. They didn't sell all their western IPs to Embracer. This specific sale omits titles that were sold (like Legacy of Kain and Tomb Raider), but still promotes other titles that they retained such as Just Cause and Sleeping Dogs.

wolfsite: Doubt the remaining Tomb Raiders would show since they were sold off.
That still hasn't been officially confirmed.
Most of the reports I've come across suggested that the IP has just been leased out to Amazon, for a limited time.
Just like Embracer is only licensing out the LOTR franchise to Warner.

GoG releases of Shadow and Rise of the Tomb Raider are not completely off the table just yet.
I'm waiting for Just Cause 3, Square Enix & GOG. Thanks! :)
No sale on the Life is Strange games?

DoomSooth: How about some more Squenix?
avatar
polecat1: Yeah, for example, seeing here "Nier:Automata" would be so cool :)
That would be awesome.

And NIER: Replicant Version Long-Numbered Remaster too.

I'd buy it here just to see what the big deal is. I've heard things but didn't look into it yet.

Mori_Yuki: I would love to see a release of Octopath Traveler I and II :)
Haven't heard of it yet... I really like the graphic style
Well, since Gog promised that there will be more it's actually useless to browse the discounts until this "more" has entered the sale. And since there could be more than one episode of "arriving late" the best course of action is waiting until the final stretch.

It is good to keep checking everyday not only to see what gets released or added to the sale but also for the giveaways, of course. But I suggest one early purchase only with "must-haves" ("what if it leaves the sale early without a warning? It happened before") — like the first Legacy of Kain, that is currently much cheaper than it has ever been — and then just keep taking notes on the stuff you might like at the current prices, to throw them in your cart at the last couple days of sale.

Seconding/Thirding this so much. If it arrived here DRM-free with an offline installer, the older Nier game would be an instant must-buy at full-price for me!

\Yes, Nier would be nice to see.
There are few things that can resist over time and one of this is Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Eternal Edition.

Published in the remote 2017 and still didn't get a discout higher than 45%, forever at € 49,49. :)

Take a look at the sale prices of the five games in this collection individually and you might be surprised that you can save a few bucks. I think a couple of the extras outside of the games might not be included if you purchased the games separately, so don't know if that's a deal breaker for you otherwise, so it's up to you if those are things you have to have and they're worth the additional about $12 it costs to get the Eternal Edition.

All that aside, I own them all (bought them individually myself and saved just as I described above a couple years ago) and so far I've only played Divine Divinity, which is one of the best games I have ever played. If the rest are even half as good they're worth whichever version you choose.
