I think the first method sometimes works for me, but only if the work I have to do is kinda fun and at least not daunting. The second one almost never works though. Maybe I should choose less compelling games :)

you´re welcome.

better chose some middle ground, if the game is too compelling you will not want to get your work done. but if it's not compelling enough then you will neither play nor work
