deja65: I still struggle to understand why hackers would even waste time on hacking a GOG account .It's not like the games are so hard to get your hands on*wink wink* :D.

Randalator: Because they are not after games but after keys for reselling.
But why, then, are their "customers" buying keys rather than getting their hands on the games the *wink wink* :D way?

timppu: Still nothing for me... Why am I being ignored by the Russian hackers? Still not enough games? I'm trying my best but noooo, nothing seem to be enough for them...
Announce publicly that you have filled your GOG wallet with €90 (or if you're feeling particularly adventurous, with €500). Then, you should have some success.

That's a really good question actually.I personally think that it depends on the individual, how much he actually supports DRM-free purchases. There are surely a lot of people who don't know about this wonderfull site ;),and maybe would stop with childish hacking and piracy if they knew about alternative solution(this one is the best btw xD).And then, there are those who are just plain horse-poop and abuse this oasis, and get away with it.That's just my two cents :D.Cheers

With a "legit" game, you get also the support and service from GOG (updates etc.).

In general, people want to be good. Given the choice between buying cheap and piracy they would rather buy cheap. They think it's not stealing. It doesn't offend their moral sensibilities.

What they don't know is that buying from the grey market involves chargebacks and such that cost devs money. It is in fact worse than piracy from a dev standpoint. Not only do they not get paid they have to lose money on top of it.

Because their customers think they're buying legit game keys and honestly don't want to pirate...

It's also guaranteed to be virus free. Torrent - not so much.
I'm not sure how this helps anyone since gifts are at least as expensive as the base price (US region), aren't they? Not much to gain here.
Does this mean they got the GOG password right?

PaterAlf: Resellers like G2A don't care where the keys come from. They don't buy them from seller, but are a market place instead. You can directly sell your keys there and they only get a certain percentage of the money for providing the platform.
Hmmm i wonder what would happen if G2A was flooded with bad or fraudulent keys or otherwise worthless codes? Codes already used, or codes that are from expired game giveaways or the like...

Does it matter if they're purchased with stolen credit cards? It's not like the purchaser forks out their own money, and any amount they make selling those gift codes is net profit.

It could be a savvy hacker.

Unlikely. It's far easier to use bots and buy stolen information, and harder to actually have skills and hack databases and the like.
