I think it would crush me if they removed child-killing from the Ultima series and replaced the sacrificial baby with a pineapple, but in Fallout’s case I don’t mind so much. Just as long as I can still rip apart that kid’s teddy bear and make him watch.

Also, even though i found this trick to bypass capital controls, there is still no way possible to charge your prepaid card anew, because this can be done only through the bank and bank forbids it. What does having Child NPCs add to Fallout 1?

No, you got me wrong. My problem is CENSORSHIP. Second biggest problem i have, DRM after. But since it can be patched, then all is good. That is why i said "I will get it".

But my question still remains that what does children add to fallout 1 other than the option to kill children and have your reputation deluded to "Baby-Killer"

Somehow i see the argument that in a hunting game people would get annoyed that you could kill a buck or deer, but not rabbits and squirrels. A lot of people would enjoy going after the large game, but seriously processing a large game is a lot of work while processing a rabbit or squirrel is really fast and simple, not to mention you can carry it with you with no special gear.

And then the reasoning? Because it might instill the wrong ideals if we give the impression it's okay to kill small furry innocent animals... (or some BS like that).

He... Reminded in Skyrim... Apparently at one of the towns there's 2 kids, you can't kill them because they are marked either as important NPCs or made impossible to kill... Although there's a patch to fix that because the kids are outright annoying.

Atmosphere, realism, flavor. Fallout has LOADS of atmosphere, they contribute. It makes sense that there are children around, it's really weird if there aren't children around. It's not just an option to kill them, they harass you a bit, pick-pocket you sometimes, and are intended to be part of the game. If I recall correctly there are a couple child-related quests (super minor) too, I think a lost child to find his parents (whom are dead? I forget), and a lost child's toy?

So this Fallout 1 is still the censored one?

Quite sure, yes, which is stupid, but, what are you going to do? (answer: just mod them back in, it's super easy, not saying it's "right", but, that's giant companies for you, controlling your products.)

That is too bad. But censored Fallout is still better than no Fallout because there is patch available that changes the game to the uncensored version.

The only reported difference is that this set doesn't have the bonuses. But they are supposed to be working to get them back.

It seems some people are missing the point. A lot of people don't appreciate a censored version of Fallout as much as the uncensored version, NOT because they can't enjoy Fallout if they are unable to kill children in the game. Of course, Fallout can be enjoyed without children in the game. It's because, a lot of people don't like other people trying to decide for them what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. And removing children, KILLS IMMERSION. Seeing children running around, really brings a town or city to life. And for those of us, who own or used to own the uncensored version for a long time, we got used to Fallout being a certain way. We got used to that level of immersion without having to fix the game with a patch. And when you get used to something being a certain way and then someone makes it worse, it is fucking annoying. And having to install a patch to fix the game every time you feel like playing Fallout again is a pain in the ass. But I'm not saying, nobody should buy the censored version here. Because a censored Fallout in your collection is still better than no Fallout in your collection. Hopefully before replying to my post, people have read my entire post instead of reading one sentence only and assuming, I'm telling people not to buy the censord version.

Just to be clear, I despise censorship and the fact that it is censored is highly offensive and fucked up, but, I can only put so much energy into so many things.
