enigmaxg2: Desktop app/program = the programs we all know, those which you install by clicking next next, those which run inside a Window, most are custom resizeable / Modern App = simpler programs, which can be obtained ONLY from the Windows store and opens in full screen or can be arbitrary arranged (50/50, 70/30) for "multitasking".
For Windows 10, the Modern Apps can run in a window, and minimized/maximized/resized just like any other window. For the simpler program, compare notepad.exe to Adobe Photoshop Express and tell me which one is simpler.
And as for being obtainable from a single source only, do check this article. It is possible to install an app without using the Windows Store, but you do need to get your hands on the app first.

So all 3 of your points about the differences do not apply to Windows 10, which is what Elenarie is saying.
I guess I could "upgrade" if W10 can be installed on an external drive.

Elenarie: Well done, you've saved yourself 10 megabytes of memory.

realkman666: I guess that Windows is beyond saving, then. :/
If you get the Epson error 0xf1 on your device. So you need to remove the cartridge from the printer and insert it again into your system. The error could be connected your both devices.
