tinyE: How old is your daughter? And no that isn't a proposition! :P
18.

Just finished her first year of university (at Emily Carr in Vancouver).

Breja: That drawing is fantastic! I wish I could draw nearly as well. I've been spending a lot of time drawing recently and damn, it's not like I had any delusions about my talent, but still this makes me fully aware of how much I suck :D
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. And to make it worse, she whipped that one up in about 30 minutes.

Breja: Anyway, is your daughter a fan of the games, the original comics, the cartoon or all of the above? Sam & Max are great characters, it's a pity Telltale went 100% with their new interactive movie style, and dropped Sam & Max. I'd love to see more games with them, or maybe a feature length animated movie.
She's been into the cartoon, but I think she wants the games as well. Since her birthday's coming up in the summer, she may just end up with them... :P

Okay. XD
I thought you were going to say she was 5 or 6 at which point I'd have known you were full of it. :P

Damn. It takes me days to get a thing done, and I don't even deal with color, just pencil. She's got talent. I'm not kidding when I say I've seen professionals do worse. She could get into drawing comics no problem.

Get her the comics if you can find it. Much as I like the games, the original comics are still the best by far. And if you can't get those, you might give I Hate Fairyland a shot. Something tells it might be right up her alley.

Are Sam and Max melting? I'm just wondering why their outlines are so wavy.

Depends.
Does she like puzzles?
Wow, that's a really good drawing, congrats! :)

Wow! She is clearly talented. I definitely see a potential career there if she wants it.
Does she already have a deviantART account? If not, it might be a great way for her to garner more exposure, share her work with (and learn even more from) other artists, and perhaps even make some money off of her art.

Yeah, she's gotten good feedback from Disney Studio artists, Robert Bateman, and some other professionals.

I think she started one way back when she was first starting out in art. But she has a Tumblr account. If you're interested, you can see some of her stuff here:

I can only hope she's also a fan of MST3K.
As others have said, this is excellent! Definitely a higher skill level than I anticipated.

It's always cool to see people here take an interest in art. Have you posted your work anywhere?

That's great. Maybe one day she'll get to work on that Sam & Max movie I keep hoping for :D

Heavens no. It really is Amateur Night in Dixie. I don't mind a good laugh at my own expense, but showing those to the public would be a bit much :D I showed some of them to a few friends and they were... uhm... polite, I guess? :D

The feeling would probably be mutual, just like with everyone you have met so far.
