A while back we lost a lot of Nordic Games titles from GOG. Occasionally some of them reappear briefly during sales, but in general they are unavailable here. It's possible that GOG will renegotiate and get them returned for good. But until such date, squirreled-away keys are about the only way to obtain them here. Fortunately I have just such a key, containing:

So let's have a weekend giveaway of this key!

To enter, post "I Live!" and optionally list the games you are interested in. However, the winner will receive the WHOLE KEY. They can redeem what they want of it, and then, if they so choose, pass the key on to another entrant to redeem what they want. It's possible the key will end up in multiple hands, depending on what each person decides to redeem from it. But the first winner is of course allowed to redeem the whole thing themself, if they desire.

If you want to post withount entering, include "Run, Coward!" at the start of your post please.

Since I like my giveaways to also spark conversations, you can also include a "lost thing" that you wish was rediscovered or restored. For example, I have to go with the classical example of The Library Of Alexandria. How I would love to read all those lost texts, from the missing works of Greek playwrights to the technical treatises and scientific theorems.

This giveaway will run over the weekend and the winner will be drawn on Monday. Have fun!

What a super cool and generous giveaway! I already picked up the Nordic titles I was interested in during the last sale, so "I do not hunger".

As far as lost things go, I think one of the great mysteries of PC gaming is where the hell Leisure Suit Larry 4 went. Perhaps someday Al Lowe will finally find those missing floppies...

Since I don't live, I cannot enter. I'll just randomly float in the thread. If you are afraid of ghosts, then Run, Coward!
As always, many thanks to my favourite weapon of Galactic destruction!

Anyway, for those who still do not have them: you NEED the Gothic series. Trust me, they are among the best games ever made! I think I know *everything* about Gothic 1 and 2, having replayed them something like 10 times each! :P
Seriously, I could even hand-draw their entire maps with surgical precision based only on my memory!

Also, Desperados (1) is a must for any RTS fan. As good as Commandos, if not better.

Now that I think about it, for what concern "lost" things... I wish I could find my original physical copy of Gothic 1. Someone "borrowed" it years ago, then just disappeared. And they call ME ghost...
Edit: Ok, it might not be as important as the Library of Alexandria, but it was still my most-played game ever! :(

I'm in for the Full Spectrum Warrior series or Spellforce series!

I agree with IAmSinistar that it would be really interesting to read the lost works in the Library of Alexandria! But for something more recent, I wish the game Take No Prisoners could be rediscovered by GOG! It was a shooter game made with a top-down perspective. It was set in some sort of apocalypse and the weapons were very Doom-like. This was a very rare game, and I've been searching for it forever! Here is the MobyGames link.

Thanks for this super generous giveaway!

As a student of Old English, I especially regret the enormous amounts of manuscripts from that period that are now lost. More specifically, I regret the fire that damaged the Cotton library in 1731, and which scorched the edges of for instance the Beowulf text, making parts of it illegible. Some texts were also damaged or destroyed through carelessness, for instance because fragments of manuscripts were used to rebind others, or because texts were "preserved" by glueing or taping them onto another piece of paper. Now there's only about a roomful of manuscripts left of what must once have been a much larger corpus, and many of the texts that we do have are fragmentary.

I'd love it if the "lost" i.e. destroyed serials of the BBC in the 60's and 70's were all found. Especially Doctor Who and the Avengers.

What i would love to see back that has been lost is a new aliens film that does not suck bring me back the scary aliens from before and not the cgi mess that it becomes.

Just want to point out to everybody that this is actually over $300 worth of games in one shot here, and that's not even taking into account that they can't actually be purchased at ANY price anymore...

...and I'll echo the sentiment of wishing the lost Dr. Who episodes could be found. And Geronimo's skull.
