Judging from the play time of my completed games on steam:
The 39 Steps- Completed in 4 hours.
Batman Arkham Asylum- Completed in 8 hours, so just slightly outside your requirement.
Bedlam- Also completed in 8 hours.
The Darkness II- Completed in 7 hours.
Portal- Completed in 7 hours.
Qora- Completed in 2 hours.

Do the games must be on GOG ?

Don't Starve and FTL can both be shockingly short :)

Ravensword: Shadowlands is supposedly completable in around 6 hours, I think I took 12 though...
Not sure if I'd actually recommend it though - it's a bit janky to say the least...

I played The Stanley Parable for the first time last night. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and spent about 5-6 hours trying all the different ways to disobey the narrator and find various paths/endings of the game. There are a few I haven't found yet, but pretty clever game imho.

Almost anything by Wayforward is short and a good bit of their games are good. Boy and His Blob, Aliens Infestation, Shantae (any Shantae), Mighty Switch Force are all good.
