madth3: I have not backed up a game in a long time in kickstarter, but this, I might.
Oh, and you might want to add to the first post
Will there be a DRM-free option?
Yes. DRM-free through GoG and the Humble Store.
madth3: I've largely stopped backing these. But, in light of the fact that they were ultimately able to deliver on their promise of having the game available DRM free for purchase, I'm likely to back it.
My main hesitation is that the previous game was a bit too linear for my taste and there were definite right and wrong character types to build. Some of the classes were almost impossible whereas others were quite easy.
I'd like to know that there going to do something about that before I back.
comradegarry: I need to buy & see how good dragonfall is before even thinking about this new one :\
cw8: Dragonfall is amazing. Miles ahead in almost every aspect compared to vanilla SRR. It's definitely one of my favourite RPGs of 2014, one of the few RPGs to keep me enthralled into its world and characters in recent times since a very long while ago. If it was as long as WL2 and D:OS whilst keeping the atmosphere, dialogue and writing, it'll definitely be my undisputed GOTY.
Heck, it's universally positively appraised at the Codex. Says heck a lot about the game.
Definitely backing Hong Kong. Love HK since I'm from SG. Would definitely love the setting. Shame they didn't include any boxed sets in the KS, I was ready to throw my money for the boxed set.
"PC Only Release
Shadowrun: Hong Kong is being developed for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems only. We have elected to focus all our efforts on PC in order to deliver the best game we can without the current processing and memory limitations of tablets. This focus allows us to have higher-fidelity visuals, larger map sizes, and more stuff on screen."
HELL YES
I'll have to consider buying it then. I've got the original SRR, but not the later one.
Especially if they're focusing on the PC over the console.
