Cyraxpt: Oh, i thought this was only for those that were playing the games involved in the event, that's cool. Hope that they add Condemned in the following prizes...
condemend would be cool

Chacranajxy: If they're giving it away for free, even if it's for a limited period, that suggests that they're not particularly fussed with any restrictions. They've made their money, and they've loosened the reins.
They are doing it for promotion. They haven't exactly given up on the games.

Chacranajxy: And if GOG did allow Sega to release their games here, albeit region locked... who cares? Japanese PC gamers are no worse off than they already were with Steam's approach, except that now they have the option of - worst case scenario - using a VPN to buy a DRM-free copy of the game.
But they will be worse off, because Square-Enix's current GOG catalog which has been available for years to them will become unavailable.

Just watched a couple of videos.

Meh, it's fee, can't complain that much. Also, 2 out of 3 games in the bundle are good sooo.. win? :P

You must excuse me, but I completely and utterly fail to see the logical connection there.

Simple. Square-Enix currently sell 29 of their games here, without any regional restrictions. Suppose they decide to reach an agreement with GOG to sell their Japanese games like Final Fantasy and the Last Remnant, under the condition that GOG will regionally-lock them. The most likely outcome is that their prior Western catalog will become retroactively regionally-locked, as those games (like Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain, Thief, etc) are regionally-locked on Steam.

Edit: Oh I see. You meant the bit about him talking about Sega and me about Square-Enix. Well, there is always the chance that with Sega's coming (and regional locks), Square-Enix will be demanding similar treatment for their games, especially when said games are regionally-locked on Steam.

Sega made some great games in the past. Now i really hope they make some remakes of their best forgotten gems in the future, and release it for pc.

Chacranajxy: Right now, Sega's giving away 3 games on Steam: Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe (the Genesis port), and Hell Yeah (which is a really cool 2D actioner.)

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/94153/

This is... obviously a good deal. And apparently, Binary Domain is going to be free in a couple days.

Also worth asking: If Sega's giving away this shit for free, how on earth can GOG not get any of them on the store? DRM stance obviously isn't an issue, at least in the case of these games.
Meh, just get the Golden Axe Trilogy as Genesis Roms already and grab the latest version of the Sega Multi Machine emulator or something!!! Sega has no right to sell them in the first place... They are EMULATED goodies! And their emulator (if any, or if incorporated in steam version of their games) isn't either the latest version, or the best one (there are many for each console). Plus, EMULATORS ARE AND SHOULD REMAIN FREE! No one has a right to charge them for money.-

So why not pirate them instead... like a dick! I'm not saying no to another copy of Golden Axe.
Meh.
Products that have anything to do with Steam, Valve, or their ssa isn't free. Not going to spend time on this.

If just Sega would wisen up and make their stuff available here :p

So free games on GOG, Origin etc are not free too right?
I thought I could never get the chance of saying this (specially when it is so DAMN. ACCURATE. Given the days and amount of games per day given in this month and the week) because I waited to get a girlfriend to say this to.

BUT OH BABY A TRIPLE.
