Okay, okay, I get it... female gamer who's obsessed with romance in RPGs; I'm a walking cliche. But I just power housed my way through EVERY FREAKING Bioware game, and I'm out of options. I just feel like romance options add a whole new level of customization to the table. You can choose race, gender, class, AND who you get to bone? Sign me up!

Sooo.... ARE there any non-Bioware RPGs with romance?
Agarest is available on GOG.
You get to take wives all over the shop in Fable but they're all just generic townspeople - I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't choose any of my fellow adventurers to get wid, to be honest
You can get married in the original Divine Divinity. I think you can, maybe it's just engaged.
You can marry in Skyrim, but... well it's not really romantic in any way. Maybe go look for some mods to improve this aspect of the game.

Mount and Blade (Warband) has marriage too, but again, it's rather pragmatic and not romantic.

And of course: The Witcher, but you're stuck with a male hero, if that bothers you.

At least Skyrim has Lesbian/Gay marriage, even if it's not romantic in any way. :P

and XXX mods...
In Original Sin your characters can end up as lovers, but there is no actual romance in the game, it's just mentioned in the epilogue.

If you're ok with romances added by mods, I can recommend Skyrim Romance for Skyrim, and Julan for Morrowind. Especially Julan. One of the best written romances I've seen, and he is also tied to the main quest, so he has a reason for following you around, and not just a random follower NPC. And his quest is very well written.
There are also gazillions of user made modules for NWN, with romace options.

Quasi-RPGs:

I always found the romance options in Sid Meier's Pirates! to be fun. You try to woo the least hideous sprite. They made it into a game instead of the Corney line-choosing stuff.

The newest Side Meier also lets you show off your dancing skills to win the girl of your dreams. The more attractive girls dance with smaller queues and maybe a bit faster, too. So they're harder to woo.

Just like in real life, girls are as easy as DDR.

(technically, a bit easier. I still can't DDR, but I got a girl.)

If we narrow it down to optional romances, there’s some in Obsidian games like Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2, but the studio has repeatedly mentioned they feel out of their element when trying to write romance and would rather not. The girls in The Witcher series or King’s Bounty are mostly collectables (although in the former there is more romance than most care to admit) and marriage in Mount & Blade is usually for political gain.

Honestly, you haven’t got many choices here! Part of the reason Bioware are so successful is they’re the only ones doing what they’re doing, even if they arguably don’t do it particularly well...

Oh wait, I've got some! The shotgun wedding in Fallout 2. Male or female, you can be forced to marry the son or daughter of some farmer, and they tag along with you for the rest of the adventure generally being useless and boring... yeah. It would be nice if there was more conversation and they could handle a fight, a husband and wife team roaming the wasteland would kick serious bum.

Ok how about Expeditions: Conquistador. Again you can play male or female, and there's a bunch of romancable characters. Not quite the depth of a Bioware RPG because its a smaller Indi game, but they're there.

Nah, you're thinking about Divinity: Dragon Commander.

OP: Try Driftmoon. Only one option, but it's nicely done for a small game.

No, I'm thinking about Divine Divinity. :P You have the option of courting (I think it's an elf) depending on which gender you are playing as.
Fable
you can romance almost anyone. And it's pretty realistic too, you have to buy them lots of stuff and not fart on them.

oh yeah and Alpha Protocol. A severely underrated gem where you can romance several girls, although in one case the girl "romances" you.
